About this listen

Syd and Theresa Guiness got out of their crowded city apartment and moved to a quaint house on a quiet cul de sac in the suburbs. Their dreamhouse. Then little things began to happen. Theresa was certain it was just her imagination and didn't pay much attention...until it was too late - their dreamhouse had become a nightmare.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The book would actually take half the time to read if the reader didn't keep snapping his fingers and reread the same line so much. And there seems to be no real ending. Or maybe it just doesn't make sense in the way it is ended.

Has The Curse turned you off from other books in this genre?

No. Just this Author and this narrator.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He kept snapping his fingers when he thought he had read a line wrong and rereading it. If it had happened once or twice, that would have been one thing. But he does it over and over and over again.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Curse?

Not so much cut, but asked that the writer had a better ending. It was like someone throwing a cold bucket of water over you and left you out in the snow. Big build up and then nothing.

Any additional comments?

I have said all I want to about this book. I'm going to go listen to another. Maybe I'll have better luck.

Where's the ending

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It tells a good story about native American culture.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Curse?

When Theresa realized her husband was missing.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Theresa discovered the truth.

If you could take any character from The Curse out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Syd. He seemed like a fun character.

Any additional comments?

Nope.

Pretty good story
