About this listen

The final chapter in the Godlanders War.

Corin Hugh, once left to die in the tomb of a dead god, now carries with him the burning memory of King Oberon's betrayal at the hands of the tyrant god Ephitel. But he also carries a secret weapon - Godslayer, the one sword in all Hurope that can bring Ephitel to his knees.

However, he will need more than just a magic sword to draw Ephitel down from his throne. As Corin searches for allies in what may become his last, desperate stand against the gods, his quest takes him deep into the heart of two ancient orders: A reclusive race of druids and the long-lost elves of old Gesoelig. Ultimately, Corin must swallow his pride and look to his fellow humans for help as he plots his revenge against Ephitel.

All his plans may crumble to ashes, however, if Justicar Jessamine, Ephitel's ruthless but beautiful champion, has her way...

In this third epic volume of The Godlanders War, men, gods, mortals, and immortals alike join forces in a furious race against time and a desperate battle for survival.

I’m totally hooked on this series!! It builds and builds! The characters are sincere, the magic system works, and the world itself is so well designed. I’m going to start the next book in the series tomorrow!! I NEED MORE!!!!
Do yourself a favor, start at the beginning and work your way through The Godlanders War series. You won’t regret it.

Oh! It just gets better and better!

This was such a somber and dark book, I am struggling on how to review it. It was well written, but it was just so focused on veangeance, mourning, tyrany, anger, murder, untrusting characters reluctant to work together, sorrow, and a casual willingness to kill horses that I really struggled to enjoy it.

It's funny, I really expected to see some modern connection to happen by the third book, but that never came. We started off with future references via the druids, but just had to accept that they've changed timelines and there they will stay!

Overall, I guess it was a good thing to finish the trilogy, but it's a rough book that does suit the name of the book pretty well. They were desperate, and it most definitely showed!

The series started well and am looking forward to the next books. Darn good Job!

Worthy to be called literature.

I feel this book didn't get much attention from the author. Like he was sorta done with this series. The flow felt haphazard and the main character's persona had a major shift for the worst. Not to mention there is soo much not explored. Ugh, I'm glad I finished the trilogy but it was not the ending I was hoping for.

Eh, this was jarring

The series has been building up some weight.
Characters have been gaining depth and the universe of the story is interesting.
Everything is pretty solid except I felt let down a little by the ending even though it was the right ending compared to the rest of the storyline resolves it lacked the emotional resonance and weight that it built up to that point.
The universe of the story is rich and it could spawn it's own satellite series of the same story from another characters perspective and be just as interesting but overall it still lacks some kind of commitment by the author to really stake his claim here.
I come away thinking that some of the story was rushed or just not completely thought through.. But again overall there's way more to like then to complain about..

Good holdover until next iron druid book

The Godlanders war gas just begun. I hope there will be more Coran Hugh adventures. There's still plenty to tell.

Satisfying end to the tale.

Good story, but after all the build up the ending was a bit anticlimactic. I was expecting a bit of sword play.

Quick ending
