About this listen
Part two of an epic six-part fantasy adventure!
The fragile truce between the three kingdoms is no more. The armies of Andua, Bergmark, and Caldera wage war against each other on blood-strewn battlefields, but it's the mysteries below that summon our heroes ever deeper into the unknown.
The disgraced soldier Aiden and his ragtag Calderan allies have ventured north, into the deadly lands between Caldera and Andua, only to be waylaid by both Anduain and Bergsbor armies. In the caves below Teekwood Forest, the timid Eilidh gathered Anduain friends to help her find her lost love, only to run away during their darkest hour. And Pjodarr, Gruesome, Tarac and Blade, proud warriors of Bergmark, continue their dangerous hunt for rampaging havtrols, even into the bowels of the world itself.
Death, danger, and despair await our heroes as they embark on a journey that will take them not only into the depths of a lost city, but into the twisted remains of their own past. Something terrible has chosen them, and now they must face their destiny. Cithria is rising, and a dark power rises with it.
The sequel to The Chosen, written by Kris Kramer, Alistair McIntyre, and Patrick Underhill. Part two of an innovative five-part epic fantasy adventure. Dwarves and elves, wizards and dragons, firbolgs and havtrols all await as Cithria rises once more!

Mankind has lorded over the land of Illian for a thousand years, building on the ruins left by the elves, as if it were their birthright. A thousand years is a long time for an immortal race to see the truth of things, a truth that has remained unsaid for a millennium - elves are superior. They are faster, stronger, and connected to the magical realm in a way that man could never grasp. Illian should belong to them.

Good continuation of the series
Any additional comments?
You never know if the author has what it takes to write an epic fantasy. I'm glad this author does. Granted, this is only the second book in the Rise of Cithria series so it may be too soon to tell. I really like where this story is going. The narrator makes it easy to follow the different characters. I received this audiobook for free through Audiobook Blast for my unbiased review.

The Descent ~ Awesome Story and Performance!
Part two in the Rise of Cithria series was great! The story is complex with lots of characters, moves at a steady pace with one adventure right after the next, and each author brings a different element to the story. Overall a great continuation in the series.
With all the different characters, and their POV's, Kevin Clay did an amazing job bringing the story to life and giving each character their own voice. Well done! I look forward to listening to the next story in the series....when it's available.

The Descent
Any additional comments?
This second installment which began with The Chosen (Rise of Cithria #1) picks up fairly closely to where the previous book left off. It is, again, a triple dose of the same authors presenting expansions on their previous stories. I am enjoying this series
