About this listen

Cal Cronin wanted more. Writing for more than 20 years, he’s ready to hit it big. But when a new writer comes to the market in 2011, during the biggest ebook boom, Cal is not one to be eclipsed so easily. He wants to know who this mysterious writer is and how he is able to capture the human condition.

Along with his lackey, Cronin will discover that the most terrifying thing about creativity is the loss of self that comes with it.

The writer for this story was pretty good, I love the attention to detail and how he expressed the characters. although I couldn't really connect with the characters all so much, I do love the ending even though I felt it could have been a bit longer.

The performance by Michael is as always top notch, the amount of expression he adds to every character is very unique along with the effects he adds makes me wanting to listen to more.

Overall the Audible was a good read! I enjoyed the work of both!

I rarely listen to short stories anymore, but I'm a sucker for sci-fi horror. (big fan of Scott Sigler). I was offered the chance to hear this story in exchange for a review.

The narrator is top notch, no mispronounced words, perfect enunciation throughout.

The story is told well, and the horror manages to be scary without being gory. If you've got a credit and enjoy science fiction/ horror crossovers, this one will have you thinking.

The book was boring and did not make any sense. It seemed to be the story of an author who was not as good as he thought he was. I could not finish the book because it was not making any sense. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
