Publisher's summary

Gina MacDonald may be pregnant and on the run, but she will do anything to protect her unborn child - even go up against a dragon-shifter. While hiding in the wilds of the Scottish Highlands, she soon notices the black dragon perched on the nearby hills. She debates if he is related to her past or not, but then a pain overcomes her and the dragon finally swoops down to help. Despite her determination to stay clear of all dragon-shifter males, his touch not only helps ease her tension, it sets her skin on fire.

Fergus MacKenzie protects his clan by collecting information and warning them of threats. When a redheaded American shows up out of the blue along a nearby lake, he watches her to find out more. However, when he sees her bend over in pain, he flies down to help her. Afterward, he should walk away. But he can't stop thinking about her green eyes and addictive touch. Both man and beast want her more than anything in their lives.

As Fergus learns more of Gina's past, he knows she will bring danger to his clan. Torn between protecting his family and following his heart, will Gina and Fergus be able to find a happy ending? Or will danger force Fergus to choose between love and clan?

New Characters, New Laws, New Life!

I personally loved this story. Although I love ALL of Jessie's books, I loved this story, because I found it romantic. I think the love story itself between Gina and Fergus is sweet and wild. I enjoyed reading and learning a bit more about other dragon clans. We also learn more dragon details in each book and Jessie has a way of leaving you wanting more.

She does not trust dragon shifters because of the way she got pregnant.

Now it becomes, can Fergus win Gina and the clan defend the against the attacks and come out on top?

I love all of Jessie Donovan's books.

Matthew Lloyd Davies is a great narrator and brings the characters to life.

I so loved it

I was given a listeners copy by the author to listen and review.

We've been waiting for this one for sometime now and its finally here

Fergus!!!!!!

This book has an emotional punch!Be warned!!!!

I really loved the chemistry between Fergus and Gina and oh my god they were so funny those two!!!!

Jessie has a unique writing skills with Dragons!
I swear to god this Lady must have a couple sitting out of her front doorstep and she has a first row seat into their behaviour and culture.
Every single time she captivates us with the complex story lines.

She has outdone herself with this story and i can't wait for more to come!!! (After all who doesn't love a Scottish Dragon Shifter!).
Now add to all this the amazing Matthew Lloyd Davis and damn you have an amazing book.
It's not once but many times that I have said that I love his voice and with each book he just makes me love the series all the way from the start

Unconditional Love

This is the second book in Jessie Donovan's Lochguard Highland Dragon series. It's the love story of Gina MacDonald, a red headed american pregnant woman on the run and Fergus MacKenzie, protector of his clan.

This is a fun loving alpha read. It proves that love is in the eye of the beholder not it it's DNA. Fergus and his dragon want Gina as their mate and it doesn't matter that she is carrying another dragon man's baby. He will fight to make them part of his family and to keep them there.

Poor Gina has bet used by a dragon man and then toss aside. She finds out she is only one of several woman who have become pregnant by said dragon man due to nothing more then a bet. She gets to know Fergus, who has basically been stalking her, better when she begins to have pain in her stomach and he rush's to her rescue. She's not really sure what to make of him but she feels safe with him and they begin to build a real relationship.

I love that we get more and more dragon facts with each book and new characters as well as visit from other dragon clans. This book seemed a little differently written then Jessie's other dragon books but I still enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

I always enjoy listening to Matthew Lloyd Davies, his dragon voices are just awesome. He is so spot on with his alpha vs dragon commentary, even if they are Jessie's words that I can't help but laugh sometimes. His american accent on the other hand drove me crazy but it didn't take away from the enjoyment of listening to this book. I can't wait to find out what's next for the Lochguard clan.

an amazing follow up in the lochguard series.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story and clan lochguard. Donovan once again does a good job with developing the characters and carrying on the story of the clan timeline. I love hearing the story and I love how Matthew Lloyd Davies does the accents. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Never give up.

I LOVE LISTENING TO A STORY I READ SOME TIME AGO. THIS IS TOUCHING, SHOWS THE BRAVERY AND LOVE BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE WHO HAVE TO FIGHT FOR THEIR RELATIONSHIP. Once again Jessie Donovan has done it. She has captured my heart with her characters. She tempted us with a peek at Gina, a very pregnant human, alone near a lock (lake) Fergus visited when he needed to think and be alone. The feisty little human railed at him and he fought a chuckle at her bravery.

A book or two later and she provided us Gina and Fergus' story. If you want to know why we die hard fans were so anxious for this story read the story of his twin and mate. Drawn to the area and watching over the lass, he sees her grab her middle and he is on it. Not so romantic maybe, but a touching beginning to a love story you will not forget. He and his dragon soon know she means more than she is willing to admit. And with her history with dragonmen who could blame her.

Still, alone and having a dragon baby is not going to happen. If that was the only problem, it would come with other associated issues, but the father and his clan present even more danger. Will Fergus' clan help her with the baby and the enemy clan?

There will be steam, family mischief, loyalty, clan safety, and so much more. Emotions, reader and story characters, will run the race of high to low and everything in between. Tears, joy, laughter, possessiveness, fear, and on and on. A great, fun, touching read.
