About this listen

In this audio edition of the totally revised underground best seller, The E-Myth, Michael Gerber dispels the myths surrounding starting your own business and shows how commonplace assumptions can get in the way of running a business. He walks you through the steps in the life of a business, from entrepreneurial infancy, through adolescent growing pains, to the mature entrepreneurial perspective, the guiding light of all businesses that succeed, and shows how to apply the lessons of franchising to any business, whether or not it is a franchise. Finally, Gerber draws the vital, often overlooked distinction between working on your business and working in your business. After you have listened to The E-Myth Revisited, you will truly be able to grow your business in a predictable and productive way.©1955, 2001, 2003, 2004 Michael E. Don't Do What You Love!

What an amazing eye opener for those who want to start a business: bank on a good opportunity, not a great skill! If you think you bake great pies and love doing it, don't open a bakery - you'll be miserable! This book will tell you why that is so true and how to avoid problems associated with going from employee to boss.

Very good

This book is a combination of entrepreneurship insights with business creation processes. The narration is very good and keeps the listener entertained. Also it suggests that if the business is built in a given way, it cannot fail, showing traps to avoid when building a new business. Very insightful and nice to listen to.

Eyes opening

Listening to this book I've discovered that I relate so much to Sara.
I've been in a small business as a technician for a long time now and I feel that this book just opened my eyes to a brand new world.

I recommend it to everyone who started a business or intends to do it.

Gets a small business owner thinking!

Gets a small business owner thinking about building and running a business that, in itself, is the product. Helps the small business owner get thinking and organize on how to structure the business (org chart, processes and systems).

Interesting, but wordy.

I loved the book and the concepts were proven. But the phrasing was complicated and I think it could have been simplified at areas.

deeper than Traction

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If you read Gino Wickman's "Traction" you will find this a little deeper. It gets into more of the meat of the subject.
