Straight to the point

Lovely story. The story showed glimpses of the past happenings with out
long explanations or unnecessary descriptions that would lead to doldrum. Then moved into the future for a happy ending.

Short but excellent

This is one of my favorite Side Stories within the league of Rogues series.

romance

I really enjoyed this book. The lady's voice was quit pleasing, and the book was romantic, without being too graphic in the sexual way. I get tired of the graphics in some books, I would like to read something that lets me use my imagination sometimes instead of being told what I am supposed to feel. I hope that makes sense.

Not Bad

Nice short story. Imperfect hero. Reclusive, grumpy hero. Love at first sight for heroine. Hero is heroine brother's best friend.

Not worth the credit

I had this in my wish list for a while and just bought it. I forgot that I put it in my wish list as I have not liked the last few Lauren Smith books. After a few chapters I remembered and will not be buying any more from this author.
The H/H are likeable, but there is nothing new here. Love at first sight leaves nothing more...just a long drawn out story to the eventual HEA. Worse is that the heroine really has nothing more than a game of pool that inspired this 6 year devotion. There is no development and no sense in the relationship. I know this is a must in the regency era as couples did not spend much time together, but this is such a contrived set of events It felt old and tired.
**Spoiler** There is a snow storm and the H/H have to stay at an inn..and you guessed it, only one room and they have to pretend to be married....two guesses as to what happens next!?!
The length of the story and the price also seems alittle out of wack, especially since I gave up half way through as it was just so boring. Maybe the last half makes up for it, but I just couldn't waste any more time waiting for some plot development.

Short but sweet

I have loved all of the books so far in The League of Rogues however, I was very disappointed that this book was so short I thought the author could’ve expanded on the story and made it last a bit longer. Love the characters.
