For Those Who Take Economics Seriously

This book covers the subject comprehensively. It gives me great hope that humanity will find a way to eliminate poverty without imposing unnatural laws restricting progress and rewards for initiative and hard work.

Good Enough For Me

As someone who studied law in university, I don’t know much about economics. This allowed me to learn some concepts and I will definitely be branching off to learn more. Many economists were previously physics majors which is interesting to me.

These DK series are great!

Excellent as a review….

If you already know a bit economics, this is a nice historical review. The format is primarily for a book, not an audio-book. Better having both. Listen when you can’t read (in a car or exercising…) and read the book when possible. For those who don’t know anything I would start with Basic Economics from Sowell as an audiobook. No formulas or graphs, just key economics ideas/ concepts. Easy to follow and the narrator is entertaining…

Great over view of the field of Economics

Taking a Econ course at the university, this audio title covers major issues in the domain of Economics. Need a cram in the facts and events that shape our countries monetary and fiscal policies, then this book might help out. This title has historic perspective, and explain the context to current theories found in the field and give much credit to our Nobel prize economist to key figures like Kuznets, Arrow, Ostrom, and many more, they really do shine the light on how they shaped the field. After passively listening to this audio title gave me a little more confidences on my exam's.

Great intro to global economics!

this is a fantastic bird's-eye view of economics as a whole. Great for me historical and academic perspective in that it goes into notable economists just enough to understand how they're accomplishments contributed to modern economics and explanation of their theories and concepts. Will definitely be listening to this one a few more times. also really enjoyed the narrator.
