It was a nice listen

I really liked the Narrator. Lawrence Sanders is emerging as one of my favorite authors... I haven't listened to anything yet that I haven't liked by him. Sidney Sheldon type of writer to me. This story didn't blow me away - But it was an enjoyable listen. I'm sure I will invest more credits into Mr Sanders....

Enjoyed the story

This is not my favorite Lawrence Sanders book but it was interesting anyway. The world of coin collectors is quite unique and as it turns out can be a bit dangerous. I learned a lot about the motivation behind coin collection and I thought the explanations about the coins were quite interesting. Anyway, like I said I love Lawrence Sanders, not one of his best books but still, one of his books.

Not your usual Sanders

What did you like best about The Eighth Commandment? What did you like least?

There was nothing special one way or the other about this book that made me like it or dislike it. The story and characters were not as deep and gritty as Sanders other books. I would not have bought this book had I known it was a light weight story.

Would you ever listen to anything by Lawrence Sanders again?

Yes definitely.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The performance was very appropriate.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

no

A True Disappointment

Sanders' "Deadly Sin" books are good--though dated--mysteries. This, however, is a very silly cozy that drags on too long with no action. The heroine gets praised for being a genius, but she really doesn't figure anything out that isn't obvious from the start; and the hero cop apparently never heard of insurance fraud.
