Publisher's summary

Emma gets a fresh Indian-American twist from award-winning author Sonali Dev in her heartwarmingly irresistible Jane Austen inspired rom com series.

No one can call Vansh Raje’s life anything but charmed. Handsome—Vogue has declared him California’s hottest single—and rich enough to spend all his time on missions to make the world a better place. Add to that a doting family and a contagiously sunny disposition and Vansh has made it halfway through his twenties without ever facing anything to throw him off his admittedly spectacular game.

A couple years from turning forty, Knightlina (Naina) Kohli has just gotten out of a ten-year-long fake relationship with Vansh’s brother and wants only one thing from her life…fine, two things. One, to have nothing to do with the unfairly blessed Raje family ever again. Two, to bring economic independence to millions of women in South Asia through her microfinance foundation and prove her father wrong about, well, everything.

Just when Naina’s dream is about to come to fruition, Vansh Raje shows up with his misguided Emma Project... And suddenly she’s fighting him for funding and wondering if a friends-with-benefits arrangement that’s as toe-curlingly hot as it is fun is worth risking her life’s work for.

THE MYSTICAL!!! INDIAN CULTURE, AND TRUEST INTIMACY

INDIAN CULTURE in America and India, The MYSTICAL! and into me see intimacy! Great psychological characters AND family dynamic COMPLEXITIES. I love Sonali Dev’s work heart mind and soul. It’s healing, being able to relate to the issues of different characters and how she expertly reveals and validates her chatacters. As well as including the shadow sides of each. THE HUMOR, use of multi-cultural language in dialogue, is exceptionally heartening. Thank you Sonali!

By far the steamiest in the series. I love the full family wrap up.

So disappointed; I didn’t finish it

I discovered this series last year and absolutely loved the first ones. This one felt like a parody of those books. The writing was not as good, and I agree with the reviews that said it was like a tawdry romance novel. The graphic descriptions of sexual encounters felt out of place compared to the other books, and honestly were not well written. It’s rare for me not to finish a book, but I’m letting this one go.

Least favorite of series

Got through this but was very annoyed by the sisters who I had previously liked. Found the sex scenes and body descriptions too much and felt it took away from digging deeper into characters.

My favorite one of the series!

I really enjoyed this book. It was my favorite one of the series. Vansh and Naina had a wonderful love story. It was older woman/younger man but also his brother's ex.
But the side love story between Isha and Sid was equally as wonderful. She had spent so many years away from people and then he showed up and everything was all better.
Such a wonderful book!

A tawdry romance novel

Unlike the prior entries, this novel spent too much time focused on explicit sex scenes. It made the book tough to finish. Extremely poor choice by the author. Just awful.

Wrap this one up with a Bow

I've really enjoyed the entire series. While this is not my number one in the series, I love that it provides some resolution in the other characters that have come before. My favorite part of this story is the bonus love story that is not advertised up front! I've enjoyed everything I've read by Sonali Dev!

Satisfying Conclusion to a Terrific Series

I enjoyed this story as much as the other books in the Raje series. “The Emma Project” is a satisfying conclusion to the stories of the Raje family. Vansh is more than the baby of the Raje family, and he matures and becomes more empathetic as he learns how to better help others and make a difference. Naina is a more complex character than how she was portrayed in the previous books, and it was good to see her as a complete character.

Adding Esha and Sid’s story was great because they reminded me that there is beauty and mystery in life if you are open ad accepting of what’s around you.

I was eagerly looking forward to this book and was not disappointed. The Rajes series has been one of the best retellings of the Austen books I have read. I will be returning to these four stories to visit with the Rajes.

The audible narration added to my enjoyment of story and made the world of Rajes come alive.
