About this listen

Like everyone else in the kingdom, two clever swindlers understand the emperor's passion for new clothes. Claiming to be the creators of the richest and most beautiful cloth in the world, they cleverly announce that the magical garments they are weaving for the emperor are invisible to anyone lacking intelligence. Who will have the courage to speak the truth? Narrated by famed British actor Sir John Gielgud, this delightful retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's classic (adapted by Eric Metaxas) is made even more beguiling by an original musical score by Mark Isham. Ages six and up. Part of the award-winning Rabbit Ears series, Storybook Classics.

loved this. Every parent should read this to their kids and explain it. It will keep them out of scams. It will also allow them to see issues in their work culture etc.

everyone must read

Loud background music was distracting and made it difficult to understand the narrator at times especially for my kids

Too much music.

In the book trumpet music played repeatedly so I had trouble listening. Also the music is really annoying.

You will be much happier if you actually read it. This audio book is horrid. There is trumpet music the whole time and the guy reading it is not good whatsoever.
