About this listen

Five months after the events in The Creeping Shadow, we join Lockwood, Lucy, George, Holly, and their associate Quill Kipps on a perilous night mission: they have broken into the booby-trapped Fittes Mausoleum, where the body of the legendary psychic heroine Marissa Fittes lies. Or does it?

This is just one of the many questions to be answered in book five of the Lockwood & Co. series. Will Lockwood ever reveal more about his family's past to Lucy? Will their trip to the Other Side leave Lucy and Lockwood forever changed? Will Penelope Fittes succeed in shutting down their agency forever? The young agents must survive attacks from foes both spectral and human before they can take on their greatest enemy in a climactic and chaotic battle. And, to prevail, they will have to rely on help from some surprising - and shadowy - allies.

Jonathan Stroud once again delivers a rousing adventure full of danger, laughs, twists, and frights. The revelations will send listeners back to book one to start the series all over again.

Very Enjoyable

My sister pestered me to read this series for about a year before I finally agreed. I'm so glad I did! It was a wonderful adventure with hilarious characters. This book was just the perfect ending. I do wish there was one more page at the end, but I suppose my imagination will have to fill in the gaps. Emily Bevan is the perfect narrator!

LOVED it!

Satisfying ending to a very engaging series. The narration took a bit to get used to when the narrator changed for book 3, but I ended up loving all of her voices.

A Gripping and Icy Ending

Though at times I was too immersed in the ghost and supernatural lingo, I lost my way from the story. When I finally returned to the story, I was eminently able to catch up and rejoin the group. Another great Lockwood and Co. Sad to see it finished.

Old narrator better

Would actually like more in the series. Did the problem ever stop? It was also never clear if it was a Britain or world wide issue.

For narration it was okay, but the first book’s narrator was the best with voices. The second narrator not as good, and the final narrator over the last few books wasn’t bad but definitely not as good as the previous two.

Heart-racing conclusion to a fabulous series.

I've enjoyed every one of the Lockwood and Co. books. This final book concludes the series very satisfactorily.
