About this listen

A time travel student exchange program goes awry when a group of 21st century teens discover love and friendship across time.

Ari hates the institute and everything it stands for. But to save her father's job, she's agreed to help host a time traveling exchange student. She only has to behave for three months while he's here, then off he goes back to 1903 where he came from. Easy peasy, right? There's just one problem. The more time Ari spends with James the harder she falls for him.

Great twist to time traveling!

Overall the book was good. The Narrator’s voice was ok with all the characters she had to portray. I love time travel and this book put a nice twist to it. It felt like back to the future and everything in between. I definitely want to read the book and get a different feel for it because I imagine it will be better. There was a lot of unanswered questions in this book and I would love to see more romance between them but it is ok without it. I do like the student exchange experience. I recommend this book if you looking for a twist to student exchange and time traveling.

Narration is off.

I tried to listen to this for at least an hour, but I had to stop because the audio was terrible. As if the narrator was speaking through a wind tunnel. The narrator also used weird accents that I felt didn’t match the tone of the book.

But the book itself seemed decent. I will have to get the physical copy to finish it as it had promise! I just had to DNF the audiobook version.

Exchange of time for love

This is my first audio by the author and narrator. What caught my attention was the time travel . This was a very well written story , the flow was fantastic and straightforward. The characters were easy to like and they had a spark between them. Even though most time travel has people going to the past , this one had a nice exchange of the hero coming to the future .
Heroine is Ari. Hero is James.
James is the one that comes to the future but at the time Ari hates it ..... it’s because of her father. He likes to experiment and Ari hates it with a passion .
James is from 1903 and when he is brought forward to today he can’t believe his mind . Ari and James are paired up to Ari annoyance . Ari thinks after 3 months James will look forward to going back to his time , but James wants to stay put .
Grab it and see what Ari father is really doing in the exchange program.

Kalinda Little Performance was good. . Her voice is good and smooth. It’s my first time listening to her

THIS ONE IS GREAT!!!!

AN INTRINSIC TIME TRAVEL TWIST. A MUST LISTEN TO FOR ALL TIME TRAVEL LOVERS. EXTREMELY WELL-WRITTEN AND EASY TO LISTEN TO. NARRATOR IS GREAT AND EASY TO FOLLOW. ACCEPTABLE FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES. ROMAN SCALE MEASURES SWEET. BEAUTIFULLY WELL-WRITTEN CLEAN YOUNG ADULT TIME TRAVEL ROMANCE.

I HAVE CONTEMPLATED THE RAMIFICATIONS AND THOUGHT DEEPLY WHAT WOULD THE IMPACT BE IF GROUPS OF MILLENNIALS STARTED BEING DISPLACED FROM OUR TIME AND INTO THE PAST. BEING DISPLACED MORE THAN 20 OR 30 YEARS WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO SURVIVE BUT LIVABLE ANYTHING MORE THAN 50 YEARS I DOUBT MANY OF US WOULD BE ABLE TO COMPREHEND MUCH LESS SURVIVE IN TIMES OR SOCIETY IN WHICH WE OURSELVES AS A GENERATION HAVE REMOVED OURSELVES FROM A NOT-SO-DISTANT PAST. IT IS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND WHERE WE WILL BE GOING IF WE DO NOT HAVE A CLEAR VISION AND UNDERSTANDING OF WHERE WE HAVE BEEN AND COME FROM AS A SOCIETY AS INDIVIDUALS AS HUMAN.

Interesting time travel idea

The author’s premise for time travel was interesting - bringing people forward for the purpose of learning from them. There is something rotten in there somewhere and the teens in the story figure out a piece of what is happening.
I gave the story only three stars because the author went overboard at the beginning with Michael being gay. I don’t mind reading about gay people but make them a regular part of the story don’t exaggerate the sexual orientation. Michael was a good friend to Ari and that was the important part. James and Elizabeth were good character with solid moral fiber that move the story forward to figure out what the Institute is really doing.
The narrator did a good job, so four stars for performance.
The ending is unresolved which contributed to three stars for the story.

Fun time traveling book

This was a fun read and I enjoyed it. This is the first time I’ve read a time travel exchange program type book. So it was refreshing. The narrator did a good job and I enjoyed the different accents.

YA time travel romance

I really wanted to love this story!! After the Outlander time travel craze it’s become a trope I would love to read again! However, this story just never quite took off for me.

This is a YA story about a school that hosts time travel exchange students. In which, students from different points in time come to the year 2030 for 3 months to learn and teach about the time that they come from. James is from year 1903 and time travels to Ari’s year of 2030. Ari’s family plays an important part in the program as well as hosts James during his time in their year. Ari and James have a slow build romance while they start to discover hidden secrets within the program. Together they start to discover they have to change the program forever.

Time Travel Exchange

This book had a very creative spin on time travel. I really enjoyed the time travel exchange program. Ari had no clue what she was getting herself into. She had planned to just host an exchange student for a short time then send him back to his time. This is a great love story for the ages. The only slight downfall is that the actual quality of the recording is a little rough. I really enjoyed Ari and James and their developing relationship.

Time Travel

Love the premise of time travel exchange students. Found this to be a great YA adventure! I thought this would be more historical, but still fell in love with it.
