Publisher's summary

What happens when two normal humans find themselves in the middle of an intergalactic conspiracy? Romance, of course...what else?

Grace and Alexia are two strangers who live in the same city and who, unbeknownst to them, share the same face. They also happen to be the targets of alien spies who aren't sure which girl overheard sensitive information.

When two extraterrestrial hot guys from warring planets arrive to find out what the girls know and whether their planets are at risk, things go a little bit crazy on Earth. Grace and Alexia must come together to save themselves...and their planet...and the men they love...in this fun, fast-paced sci-fi adventure romance.

Love triangles, tension, comedy, angst, suspense, mystery...this audiobook has all the feels. Oh, and did we mention it has aliens? Join Grace and Alexia as they embark on the adventure of their lives...if they can survive it!

3.5*story 3.5*narrator Soft S/F adv/r

I was able to find the EPUB to sort of act as closed captions for the audio-book, which seemed to be different in some places, but for the most part, an enhancement to the audio copy to help understand some of the alien words. All four of the main characters have their own combination of social awkwardness also sharing many of the same moral values. The realization of shared traits and values, along with falling for earth girls, seem to be what brings them together after learning of misinformation campaigns regarding past events designed to pit them against each other to benefit a shared foe. After learning who the true enemy is, they join forces against their enemy and mend personal and political relationships. This story has alternating viewpoints between Lexy and Grace (two strangers who happen to look like twins) which if listeners are not listening closely AND reading along, may be confusing to some readers. This is part one of an unknown number (to this reader) of a series. Even-though I stumbled between some edit differences between the EPUB and audio versions, I still found myself binge-reading the entire thing in one, long go.

This is honest feedback of a title available through subscriptions to Story Origin and Audible code, and my local Hoopla library Epub . I hope to continue on with this series.

Premise has Promise

The premise has promise but this is definitely a YA book, and it's twice as long as it should/needed to be. I really wanted to like it and was hoping it would finally come around to with some answers to its mysteries, but alas, after 13 long hours it ends in a cliff-hanger! As curious as I am, I will not put myself through another book of this series.

CHARMING ALIENS

Two girls story told in one following the other, in alternating chapters. Silly me didn't realise this and was a bit confused and had to start again. The stories were interesting and nicely narrated. l liked the animals and all the characters, the excitement of the visitors and the adventures they find themselves in. The narrator has a lovely voice and does all the voices. l enjoyed it. Recommend for romantic adventure readers/listeners.

Unusual Science Fiction Romance Story

I thought this story was entertaining, but it started out slow. I liked the characters. I liked the creative idea of two girls with the same face. I liked that aliens mistook their identities and needed to figure out which one of the two girls had overheard their plans and might need to be erased. I'm glad that as the story progressed things got more exciting and built up to a fascinating ending. Amy Gozelski's narration was great, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

A humorous story

I was provided this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review. This book is a humorous look at two aliens who are learning to fit into earth's society and learning how to interact with a girlfriend. The story is told in alternating chapters, which is a little confusing. The two girls are intrigued by the aliens, but put up with their idiosyncrasies as they teach the aliens about relationships. The reader must suspend belief that the girls are so naive, accepting the cover stories of their boyfriends being from small villages in Norway and not knowing about relationships. I enjoyed the storyline once I realized there were two couples involved.
