About this listen

Shady Rest, Texas, has the dubious reputation for being the deadliest town in America. Getting yourself killed is as easy as blinking and twice as quick. Sure enough, Matt Jensen hasn't swallowed his whisky before the town's marshal is gunned down before his eyes. Matt defends himself by putting two bullets in the shooter's chest, unaware that he's in line for a $5,000 bounty - as long as he stays in Shady Rest to collect it. And staying gets even more tempting when a red haired beauty decides to be the next town marshal....

Annabel O'Callahan is a dressmaker with a secret weapon - no hard case or gunslinger worth his salt will gun down a lady. Almost overnight, Shady Rest becomes a model of law and order. But the man Matt killed has a whole passel of friends and family - the killing kind, man or woman - headed to Shady Rest for revenge. Now the dressmaker and the mountain man must join forces. Two against a small army. And the deadliest shootout Shady Rest has ever seen.

Performed by Dylan Lynch, Thomas Penny, Bradley Smith, Tracy Lynn Olivera, Evan Casey, Thomas Keegan, Richard Cutting, Jonathan Watkins, Michael Glenn, Tim Carlin, Patrick Bussink, James Konicek, Tim Getman, James Lewis, David Coyne, Gregory Gorton, Christopher Graybill, Nick DePinto, Danny Gavigan, Terence Aselford, Matthew McGee, David Jourdan, Jeff Allin, Eric Messner, Joe Brack, Steven Carpenter, Matthew Bassett, Michael John Casey, Lily Beacon, Regen Wilson, Mark Halpern, Colleen Delany, Ken Jackson, Nora Achrati, Yasmin Tuazon, Elizabeth Jernigan, Mort Shelby, Scott McCormick, Richard Rohan.

The eyes of Texas

This book is about Matt. I have liked all the books about Matt. I highly recommend this series. Matt has his own style . He is as good as Smoke and Luke. I recommend starting with book one but you don't have to. I like these books with several narrators. I also like the ones that Jack Garret narrates. I've listened to both. Matt rescues a town and a Lady

Good book. Matt didn't want to wear a badge but once the lady put on the Marshall's badge he had to become her deputy. Good play by her. He saved the town and her at end end.
