Publisher's summary
Everything you need to prepare for your General Class Ham License. This audiobook covers every question on the General exam. Memorizing over 400 random answers is hard and boring. Learning is easy!
If you've made the decision to open up your ham radio world by going for the General Class License, great! General is certainly more challenging than technician, but The Fast Track to Your General Class Ham Radio License explains the reasoning and technology behind each correct answer on the General Class exam so you'll understand and remember the subject matter.
Created by an experienced ham and adult educator, it's like having your own, patient, experienced, good-humored mentor for the exam.
To get your General Class License, you must pass a multiple-choice test. The General License test consists of 35 questions drawn from a pool of about 400. Memorizing the answers to over 400 disconnected questions is difficult, but The Fast Track makes getting your upgrade easier by explaining the logic behind each correct answer. When you understand the material, and you have a context for the material, you remember the answers and pass the test.
Best of all, once you've passed your exam, you'll have a solid grounding in ham radio basics.
In this audiobook, you'll discover:
- Every possible question and every answer.
- Correct answers clearly indicated.
- Precise instructions for how to locate a testing session, how to prepare, and even what to bring– and what not to bring–to the test.
- Step-by-step instructions to solve all the math problems.
- Test-taking strategies.
- Hints to easily solve many questions and avoid the traps in the test.
- Written in "learning order", not just the (confusing) order of the official question bank.
- Covers questions that will be used through June 30, 2027.

He shows that although these phenomena might seem unrelated on the surface, at a deeper level there is a connection, forged by the unifying power of mathematics.

Einstein's steadfast refusal to accept certain aspects of quantum theory was rooted in his insistence that physics has to be about reality. Accordingly, he once derided as spooky action at a distance the notion that two elementary particles far removed from each other could nonetheless influence each others propertiesa hypothetical phenomenon his fellow theorist Erwin Schrdinger termed quantum entanglement.

Ignition! is the story of the search for a rocket propellant which could be trusted to take man into space. This search was a hazardous enterprise carried out by rival labs who worked against the known laws of nature, with no guarantee of success or safety. John Drury Clark writes with irreverent and eyewitness immediacy about the development of the explosive fuels strong enough to negate the relentless restraints of gravity. The resulting volume is as much a memoir as a work of history, sharing a behind-the-scenes view of an enterprise that eventually took men to the moon.

Throughout history, scientists have come up with theories and ideas that just don't seem to make sense. These we call paradoxes. The paradoxes Al-Khalili offers are drawn chiefly from physics and astronomy and represent those that have stumped some of the finest minds. With elegant explanations that bring the listener inside the mind of those who've developed them, Al-Khalili helps us to see that, in fact, paradoxes can be solved if seen from the right angle.

In this thought-provoking exploration, Matthew May defines elegance as the elusive combination of unusual simplicity and surprising power, and pinpoints the four key elements that characterize it: seduction, subtraction, symmetry, and sustainability. In a story-driven narrative that sheds light on the need for elegance in design, engineering, physics, art, urban planning, sports, and work, May offers a surprising array of stories that illustrate why what's "not there" often matters more than what is.

Story
Despite its old-school reputation, amateur radio is on the rise, and the airwaves are busier than ever. That's no surprise: Being a ham is a lot of fun, providing an independent way to keep in touch with friends, family, and new acquaintances around the world. Hams are also good in a crisis, keeping communications alive and crackling during extreme weather events and loss of communications.

As a soldier, you can be sent to any area of the world. It may be in a temperate, tropical, arctic, or subarctic region. You expect to have all your personal equipment and your unit members with you wherever you go. However, there is no guarantee it will be so. You could find yourself alone in a remote area—possibly enemy territory—with little or no personal gear. This manual provides information and describes basic techniques that will enable you to survive and return alive should you find yourself in such a situation.

I'm Ready For the Test!
I used the Arrl General Class Licence book first and still didn't understand the material. Then I switched to Michael and Kerry's Fast Track General class book with the Audio and text versions both. Things finally made sense. I will be 75 years old this year and this combination made all the difference. Thank you Fast Track.

Well done
Liked: humor, knowledge, review of correct response
Disliked: often missed the question (would have liked the bell at the beginning of correct answer for psychological conditioning)

I passed! Great Book
I used both the audio fast track technicians general books to listen on my commute to work. I used the practice quizzes on the fast track website. Took both tests at the same time. Only missed 2 on each! Got my tech and general.
