About this listen

What if there really was a Fear Factory? What if there was actually a company whose business it was to manufacture fear? What would their mission statement be? How would they go about marketing their product to the consumer? Who would their competition be? And where would they set up operation?

It's a rainy Seattle morning and account executive Steven Traynor is on his way to the most important business meeting of his life. But as the elevator ascends toward the client's office on the 14th floor of the Fearn Tower office building, Steven's life is about to change forever. In this audiobook, you will learn...

  • The only fears that come as "standard equipment" at birth
  • How fears are manufactured, bought, and "sold" at the Fear Factory
  • To identify the "triggering events" that cause fears
  • How to desensitize yourself to the things you fear
  • Ways to turn fear into the fuel needed to accomplish goals
  • Why you must do something everyday that scares you!
  • And how to put the Fear Factory out of business forever!

The lessons that Steven learns on his wild journey through the Fear Factory are going to have a profound impact on his life. Will it do the same for you? Come in and take a tour for yourself!

What made the experience of listening to The Fear Factory the most enjoyable?

This is the 2nd book by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz I've purchased within the past 30 days, I believe, and it's worth EVERY penny!I can't wait for my teenage daughter to come home from boarding school and immerse her in this material!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fear Factory?

When we learn that we are all born with only THREE "Factory-Installed" fears - Fear of loud noises, fear of falling and fear of abandonment (I think).ALL other fears are acquired i.e. PURCHASED!

Which scene was your favorite?

Paradoxically learning the purpose of life and living from the head Fear Master himself!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Face Your Fear

The book provides good suggestion about how to live with fear. Turn us back from the dark side of the force. (Sounds like a Jedi)

Dark side of the force

Wow another amazing book 📖 I realized that the only thing standing between me and my freedom and success is Me. I CAN overcome any fear and in order to do so I have to face it head on. And realize that everything I need to be courageous is already inside me. I am courage. I don’t need to learn courage I am already courage. Fear is only a fantasy that isn’t real. I can achieve and overcome any obstacle or fear in my way.

Each day I go on sales calls but to me is more than that. It’s an opportunity for me to grow for me to stretch myself. And become more.

This book is a must read. All his books are amazing. I can’t wait to share this with my friends and family. Thank you.

Another life changing book

I really enjoyed this audiobook because it was written like a fiction book, but covering a real issue. All of the facts made in the book were true, especially when the character discovers that all the coverage that is need to combat fear lies within the person.
I would recommend to my family and friends.

FEAR

I liked the story instead of listening to a book on self-esteem this audible book has a great fictional story that gives a parable to why you should face your fears. Also check out Go for No by the same author you won't be disappointed.

A great parable about your fears

Transforming your life should not be this fast and so much fun. I've enjoyed the authors' writing in the past but this quick read had me doubled over with laughter and weeping with deep personal recognition and revelation.

This book should be illegal!

A clever way of highlighting how we create our fears to keep us safe, and an inspiring message to step up, take control, and lean into what we fear to create an extraordinary life.
