Campbell Farm

Kimberly, married and a new mom with an infant, recently moved home to take over the family business: Campbell Farm. She works hard to make the business a success. In comes a long lost cousin offering to take over the business so she can resume her old life. Kimberly has to decide what to do. Overall it is a good story, and interesting. Usually, spouses seek each other’s counsel, as the decision effects the whole family. In this book, Kimberly makes the decision alone, which I was uncomfortable with. Narration was well done.

More Life-Changing Decisions

Kimberly Campbell is still in the throes of rescuing her family farm with the added pressure of being a mom to a newborn. Mix in a mysterious man who gives her an option she is tempted to take, it would change her life and her family’s life forever. This is a decision she alone must make.

Felicia Granville, the author, has woven a story around a woman who is forced to make decisions based on family tradition and responsibilities. Although she yearns for something different, she discovers so much more. Granville’s writing style allows the listeners an inside view of her thought process and decision-making. We see growth in her character while others remain fixed. Although the norm is for the husband to influence all decision-making, I found this story unusual as it does not. This allows for the female, Kimberly, to grow into a much larger character. The storyline flowed smoothly, and the plot twist was well delivered.

Nikki Delgado, the narrator, once again does a great job of living the story. She speaks clearly and with precision. Each character has their own voice thus allowing their core to shine through. I enjoy her voice and look forward to hearing more.
Although this is the last book in the series, it remained fresh and true to the storyline. The plot twists were well executed. If you are looking for a short listen with lots of activity, this is the series for you.

This is the conclusion of a well-written story that draws the listener in slowly but with lots of action.
