About this listen

It's finals week during Tony McNeil's second year in law school, and he's struggling to keep up. Frankly, he'd rather be cooking. Then he meets first-year student Eddie Cohen-Fernandez, who's heartsick over missing his family's annual Festivus celebration. Tony can use his culinary skills to lift Eddie's spirits, but finding long-term happiness? That just might require a Festivus miracle.

Cute short story

Cute and warm holiday story. Wish it was longer, would have loved to know how his parents reacted to his phone call at the end.
I just love Joel Leslies voice, he is just amazing!

Another sweet holiday short story. I feel like the ending could have been a smidge more decisive but it’s a good HFN/HEA anyway.

Just About Perfect

What more can anyone say, it's a Holiday staple. Kim Fielding spins a great one here, and Joel Leslie is just right.

Incredibly sweet

Just give yourself a treat and let go into happily ever after. Just what the doctor ordered after a hard week.

A Wonderful Festivus Story

Tony could use a break from law school but that’s his parents expected him to be a lawyer. First year law student Eddie just wants to go home for his family Festivus celebrations. Can the two of them find a way to connect with their dreams? Sweet romance and performance. Recommend it.

Delightful little surprise!

I was perusing the Romance Package for a quick listen when I came across The Festivus Miracle. Even though the holiday season is over, I downloaded this one as soon as I saw it was narrated by Joel Leslie. And I'm so glad I did, this was such an adorable story! That's really all you can say about- lots of cuteness that left me with a smile on my face.
The narration was perfect! But then again, I wouldn't expect anything less from Mr. Leslie. He did such a great job as always!
It was funny, after listening to so many NR Walker books, he hear him speak in anything other than an Australian accent!

A festivus miracle indeed

An hour listen but so much feels! 😍 Personally, I’m someone who enjoys holiday stories all year round and since I’m gearing towards the upcoming holidays, I’m already kicking off the season with lovely holiday stories. And holy smoke, this one was just adorable.

Tony is doing his best to get through his second year at law school. Law has never been his passion but he has the heavy burden of family legacy on his shoulders and he hates disappointing his parents. He has already disappointed them when he came out so he’s just doing everything he can to just pass by. Enter the adorable nerd, Eddie with a meet cute at the library. The freshman and the senior instantly clicked and formed a lovely friendship and the attraction is simmering and heating up. But what would happen when the exam ends and the holidays start? Is it time for a Christmas miracle love story to come true?

The meet cute was really adorable. 😍 And I loved both MCs instantly. From a friendship to the beginning of something much more, the characters are realistic, likable and fun. And who doesn’t love a good holiday love story? 😉 And Eddie’s family is just ahhhhmazing! 💜 Seriously, it’s amazing how Kim Fielding was able to pack a compete story and that much emotions into an one hour listen. As always, Joel Leslie did a fanatic job narrating this story. I am so used to listening his snarky MCs that this narration felt very fresh and different. 😁 Loved it. A lovely listen for the coming holidays. 😘

Short but sweet holiday story.

I listened to this book while in the car - stuck in the middle seat of the back seat of a medium sized car. We were packed "cheek-to-cheek" and this book my mind totally off of my discomfort. I love listening to Joel Leslie perform a book, although in this one I had to smile at his pronunciation of aluminum.

The story was very good; I'd never read or listened to a Festivus story before and I enjoyed the way it played out. I never judge a short story the same way I would a novel; there's just not a lot of room for character development. While things progressed rather quickly between Tony and Eddie, I love how they interacted with each other and didn't really jump right into sex with each other.

This was just perfect for me to listen to during an uncomfortable ride.

A lovely Festivus Story

This is an honest review in exchange for a copy of the Audiobook from the Author.

I have just finished the audiobook and I'm sitting with a huge smile on my face. The audiobook lasts one hour and is a perfect pick me up heading to the rush of Christmas. Tony is the son of wealthy successful lawyers but comes across as lonely. He is studying law because his parents expect it but his real love is cooking. He meets Ed by accident in study hall and they become friends during finals, slowly growing closer.nBecause Ed can't get home for 'Festivus' Tony decides to drive him there. Tony's own parents are away. The welcome Tony receives from Ed' family is heart warming and brings the Christmas message to life.

The narrator, Joel Leslie, does a wonderful job of bringing the characters of Tony and Ed to life.

This is a sweet and lovely story that is worth listening to and giving as a gift.

Love this so much!

In this very short and sweet Christmas novella, we meet two law students, Tony and Eddie. Tony is only going to law school to please his parents, he’s miserable and lonely in the small Nebraska town. Eddie, is excited to be in law school but misses his folks in California, especially during the holidays, but can’t afford to fly or drive out there to be with them.

Eddie and Tony meet on campus and decide to study together for finals. This leads to post-finals celebration (naked celebration) and then on to… more.

Eddie helps Tony to realize that it’s okay to “disappoint” your parents when it means keeping your soul happy. Tony helps Eddie to achieve his Festivus Miracle.

With a few short pages, Kim gives us a fully developed story about finding out who you are and living your life to its full potential.

There are some sweet smexy scenes, but most of this is about self discovery and finding that place in your soul that makes you sing.

Audio: Joel Leslie does an excellent job with this lovely novella. He does a little with the voices, enough to know who is who and is great with the emotion and the pacing of the story.

I really loved both the story and the audiobook and highly recommend both!
