About this listen

All of them are guilty of something…

Five friends. One deadly secret.

Five old university friends gather on the eve of their flatmate’s memorial at a beautiful riverside house.

Host Caro is as perfect as always.

Shy, awkward Lily’s now a bestselling author.

Sports hero George loves suburban fatherhood.

Bad-boy Travis only gets his highs from meditation.

And gatecrasher Elle is still a troublemaker.

Estranged for years, they’re finally ready to reminisce over dry martinis and delicious food. But there’s more than that on the menu…

Because each guest is hiding a dark secret about their time at Oxford.

They’re all guilty of something. Is one of them guilty of murder?

Slow-burning thriller

This book had some fantastic, complex characters that remained interesting throughout. The narration was exceptional, and brought everything to life. I really enjoyed it.

Wow- not your usual repetitive story line!

I had a hard time following at first but once I understood who the main characters were, I was hooked- many twists that don’t end til the very end. Great story- not your usual repetitive story line, really enjoyed

Interesting Hard to Look Back at Our Decisions

Whenever a book revolves around life events/choices that seem cringe worthy, traumatic or just painful, it’s easy to relate, even if they aren’t quite the same, to our own experiences. The feelings it evokes typically are. I liked the concept of how these flatmates got back together before a commemorative event. It really is a train wreck from the beginning. But each of them feeling uncomfortable or defensive is exactly in line to those past feelings. The plan, if there was one, is to have each one take some accountability, feel responsible and to feel remorse if needed. The truth is messy and unconventional but it worked out well. The story and characters developed really well over the course of the story. Nice twist at the end. I enjoyed listening!

Narration was really good. Especially as each characters voice was well portrayed along with their emotions!!
