Creative Re-Imagining of a Man's Life

This was my first experience with Juhi Ray's work, and it was interesting. The author weaved a creative tale regarding a man, who served in the Mughal Emperor Akbar's imperial court, and who was known for his wit. The story was complex. The language was beautiful and descriptive. The issue I had was that at times the plot became overwhelmed by all the historical information. Juanelle Louise Holl's narration was fine. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Enjoyable historical fiction read/listen

The Final Puzzle: An untold Akbar Birbal story, my first read from author Juhi Ray. 9 hours 2 minutes/290 pages of historical fiction. The first 5 chapters were devoted to setting & development but picked up interest/pace after that. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. Narrated by Juanelle Louise Hall, her accent, along with the books between chapter music, adds to the mood of the story. I have added the short read The Empress's Guilt: The woman who connected two rival dynasties from the same author to my TBR list, to be read when I get it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Its okay

It is a great history story. Characters are very well written, you understand who each character is and what their role is in the story.

I received this book for free in exchange for my honest opinion.
