About this listen

An empire in the balance.

War has come to the continent, and Lieutenant Commander Ky, a test pilot from the far future and Consul of the Britannic Empire, leads armies scattered across Germania and Hispania to liberate them from Carthaginian rule. The Carthaginians, however, refuse to surrender without a fight. Led by a seasoned commander, new armies with weapons from the Far East are sent to counter the Britannians, with the entirety of Europe as the ultimate prize.

Meanwhile, in Britannia, Lucilla faces her own obstacles as she grapples with the challenges of leading her people after her father's death. She must find the resources for their legions to fight while facing forces conspiring to undermine her rule, sowing seeds of dissent that threaten to unravel the empire from within.

Will the fledgling Britannians free the continent from Carthaginian power or will they be reduced to a footnote of history?

Outstanding Return to Form!

My last review requested less talking and more action. I’m pretty sure that Travis Starnes didn’t even see it before releasing The Fires of Vulcan, but he knocked it out of the park.
I’m hooked. More please!

Book Five

The saga continues, same plot as other books in series. Just the locations and weapons change with improvements by Ky.

The structure of it and you could see it in your mind's eye rather easily because the writer makes a good job of it.

I could see that the story was well thought out was great yeah and the fact that I'm European I understand where they're going what most of this plus was well written

Fantastic Series

This series is a fabulous addition to the micro genre of technologically advanced person (or persons) literally or figuratively traveling back in time, trying to find their place in the “past” and help their adopted community accelerate progress in myriad areas including statesmanship, technology. The author creates interesting, substantive characters with meaningful interpersonal relationships, engaging plot lines, exciting action, with lots of interesting thought experiments upon which a reader can bring their knowledge of history, sociology, science, military strategy and tactics… to bear. As in any series, some books are more enjoyable than others, but I’m a big fan of the series. I’ve enjoyed it tremendously and look forward to Volume II of this series. For fans of Olan Thorensen’s Destiny’s Crucible series, this series is a winner.

Outstanding Inovating Mix of Sci-Fi Genres!

While there are many time-travel along with alternate history plots that have been increasingly appearing within the wide Science Fiction category, Imperium represents one of the most unique combinations of the existing genres:
- A protagonist from our distant future
- Time travel to deep antiquity
- Arrival within an alternative world of the infinite Multiverse.
BRAVO!

Rome is now Britannia!

This is awesome. Give us more! Give us a spin off where Brittanians go to America and expand their influence there or perhaps Africa.
