About this listen
The First Book of David is a unique novel which brings to life one of the greatest men who ever lived - David the King of Israel. It movingly takes one back in time to see the mighty man and his world through the eyes of his contemporaries, some of which are Samuel, Abner, Michal, Abishai, Abiathar, and even Goliath's armor bearer. It answers why David is so endearingly referred to as "a man after God's own heart". Though we know the story, The First Book of David is hard to put down.

Story
In this era of indecision, fearfulness, and compromise, the world cries out for decisive leadership. Be it political or Christian, the world is clamoring for dynamic direction. What a Difference a Line Can Make is a treatise of Holy Ghost direction that has been overlooked and is long overdue. Simultaneously concise and in-depth, this book offers a crystal-clear view of Holiness themes that have been for the most part abandoned by Christendom but long held dear by God and his people.

Story
A book of power, beauty and grandeur, here is a majestic rendition of the love of God. Rarely has a piece of Christian literature combined the simplicity of the storytelling art with the profound depths of the Christian faith. In this sweeping saga, spanning from eternity to eternity, you will discover some of the deepest riches afforded the believer. Who is fit to be the beautiful bride of God? How shall the Carpenter, rising from the dead, bring her forth? The story concludes at the consummation of the ages, when a victorious Lord takes his bride to himself.

Story
Atomic Power with God, Thru Fasting and Prayer is a short work by the spirited evangelist Franklin Hall. The book describes how prayer during extended fasts can heal the body and soul, and bring practitioners greater spiritual power to exalt and glorify Jesus Christ. In the book, Hall described his own introduction to fasting and prayer through friendship with a Oklahoma family advocating the practice in 1932. He fasted and prayed with them in anticipation of a large revival-and at the ensuing event, "scores of people were healed of all types of afflictions."

Story
When life isn't fair, we want explanations. Jerry Jones reaches back into Genesis and draws helpful insights from the story of a woman who was cheated by life. Leah didn't live a "happily-ever-after" life. And for a long time she struggled with deep family disappointment. This book reveals how she got beyond being cheated and suggests that, like Leah, we can move beyond life's often-unfair twists.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
Just before Christmas in 1843, a debt-ridden and dispirited Charles Dickens wrote a small book he hoped would keep his creditors at bay. His publisher turned it down, so Dickens used what little money he had to put out A Christmas Carol himself. He worried it might be the end of his career as a novelist. The book immediately caused a sensation. And it breathed new life into a holiday that had fallen into disfavor, undermined by lingering Puritanism and the cold modernity of the Industrial Revolution.

Story
The 10 enlightening (and often humorous) lectures of Medieval Myths and Mysteries will show you how far from the “dark” times of legend these centuries were. Uncover the facts about the Knights Templar. Reveal the truth behind the tales of legendary creatures like the Questing Beast and the unicorn. Trace the events of the Black Death and the ways it altered the world in its wake, and much more. With Professor Armstrong, you will dig deep into the ways that later generations reshaped the narrative of the medieval years and perpetuated the myths.

Again...speechless.
I do not write this review based on the length of time that I have know the author. Nor do I because of my thoughts and feelings about the man that stands so tall in my eyes and heart. I write this because I must compel any who might read this review, to not only bring this book into your mind and heart, but also to get to know the God whom this book reveals, whom it’s primary character and the author, know, worship and serve. This writing greatly impacts my life, lifts my spirit and makes me weep every time I read it! Get it, read it, enjoy it forever!
