I picked this book because I enjoy the narrator, and she did not disappoint. However, the story… not so much. Anyone who has ever explored this genre could predict the ending from the start. I fast forwarded through the middle of every chapter and didn’t miss anything. But if you like British accents, this won’t hurt you.

Slow and formulaic but harmless
