About this listen

‘I was captivated… What a stunning story of sisterhood, sacrifice and forgiveness!’ Lana Kortchik, USA Today bestselling author of Sisters of War

Three sisters. Three ships. One heartbreaking story.

1911. As Emma packs her trunk to join the ocean liner Olympic as a stewardess, she dreams of earning enough to provide a better life for both her sisters. With their photograph tucked away in her luggage, she promises to be back soon – hoping that sickly Lily will keep healthy, and wild Ruby will behave. But neither life at sea nor on land is predictable, and soon the three sisters’ lives are all changed irrevocably…

Now. When Harriet finds her late grandmother’s travelling trunk in the attic, she’s shocked to discover a photo of three sisters inside – her grandmother only ever mentioned one sister, who died tragically young. Who is the other sister, and what happened to her? Harriet’s questions lead her to the story of three sister ships, Olympic, Titanic and Britannic, and a shattering revelation about three sisters torn apart…

Don’t miss the latest novel from the USA Today bestselling author of The Secret of the Chateau. Perfect for fans of The Beekeeper’s Promise and The Forgotten Village!

Story is great... recording has missing segments

Ii enjoyed and loved the story. The narrator did an excellent job but there were many long segments of missing information/sound. Multiple times and for several minutes the recording continues to plays but there is no sound. When the sound resumes you are much further along in the story. It does take away from the enjoyment of the story.

Multiple breaks with no sound

The story was interesting enough, but it was annoying to have multiple breaks for five minutes or so at a time where the audio went out. I just had to wait until it resumed again and missed whatever happened in those breaks. The story was fairly predictable and a lot of the emotional handwringing was repetitive, so I probably didn’t miss too much. I think it only happened twice, but that’s twice too often for a paid credit.

The reading was fine, read by an age appropriate woman for the older protagonist. Her American male voice was a bit amusing. Is that how Brits really think Americans sound? Maybe American fake British accents are just as amusing to the English.

Breaks in story.

Frequent brakes in the story where it didn’t play. Made it very annoying. I thought the story was good however

Great book!

My only issue was 3 chapters cut out 1/2 way through but started back up at the end. Chapter 21, 22 and 24. I’m not sure if it was just me or everyone else too! It was still every enjoyable and reminds me of my sisters. I am the oldest of 3.

Great read

Very exciting and heartbreaking! Historically very accurate. Why was Ruby so angry & in the long run killed her mother.

Expected more history

I was disappointed there was not more history woven into this historical fiction account of the three sister ship, Olympic, Titanic and Britannic. I also thought the dramatic fiction story was average.
