About this listen

Jack appeared at my door last night after six months of no communication wearing a Mets jersey and holding a dozen red roses. He told me he was sorry, that he loved me, and that he would earn my trust again. It took everything in me to not fall apart at the mere sight of him. I wanted to take him back into my life, but I needed to know that this time it would be forever...

In J. Sterling's highly anticipated follow-up to her USA Today bestselling novel The Perfect Game, Jack and Cassie quickly realize that their new lifestyle can often be cruel and unforgiving. Their happiness is put to the test as the past is never truly far behind. How do you stay together when the world's trying to tear you apart?

Narration ruined it for me, was hard to follow

This definitely would have been better with 2 narrators. it was very confusing who was talking since the voice didn't change for Cassie or Jack. It's way more whiney, which wasn't there in the original book. also this book is told with lots of flash backs and current days, so it's hard to follow. the narrator doesn't read the lead in so set the stage of a new chapter/ scene.

I'm not sure if I'll finish it. Could easily have been much better.

Narrator eh, so-so.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Would be better with Saskia Maarleveld as the narrator or anyone else for that matter, CJ Bloom is great too. I listened to it anyway because I really liked the story and I drive 30 mins one way to work everyday.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Game Changer?

I really loved the part where Jack sends her gifts at her apartment in NY, he is so clever and really brings out what is important to him about his relationship with Cassie.

What didn’t you like about Dara Rosenberg’s performance?

She was ok, could work on her men's voices more and not sound so whiny. Also she has this lilt at the end of her sentences which drove me nuts...oh and her emotions need to be tweaked some. I didnt 'feel it'.

Do you think The Game Changer needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes, and it does.

Any additional comments?

The story is great, I like how the characters are portrayed as not perfect people and that mistakes are made and sometimes you can overcome those odds. The act itself is very despicable, but if you're really in love what can you do.

Good story

The book is good but the narrator made a lot of their conversations sound sarcastic and childish. Cassie and jack traveled a lot of rough roads to get their HEA but I loved seeing them get there.

Much better narration than book 1

This is a continuance from book one. Storyline is still good. What a way to fight for your love. The narrator did way better reading this time around. Much easier to listen to.

Change to Ebook

This young love story has both heart-wrenching and tender moments, some fun and light moments, a solid flowing plot, a strong heroine and a swoon-worthy hero.

My only complaint is that the narration didn't feel right. I'd recommend reading the ebook rather than listening to the audiobook.

Rollercoaster of emotions

I love this book so much! You get all of the feels with this one. I laughed, shed tears, was angry and was happy. I love Cassie and Jack so much. They feel like a real life couple!

Liked this one too

Would you consider the audio edition of The Game Changer to be better than the print version?

I didn't read much of the print version so I can't compare.

Any additional comments?

I thought this was another good one. Not too much drama and I was thoroughly entertained. There were only one or two moments that had me rolling my eyes. I was disappointed in Cassie for the way she acted and her decision to run. She came off so strong throughout so this moment of weakness from her was a little disappointing. I thought everything wrapped up good so I’m curious as to what else their story has to offer.
