About this listen

A powerful curse cast thousands of years ago by the Grand Vizier. Tanakhmet cursed Prince Akhmose to never enter the Field of Reeds, the heavenly paradise. Why did he want him to linger as a restless ghost among the living, forever?

By reading the hieroglyphs, Layla, a young Egyptologist, inadvertently breaks the curse and frees the ghosts of both Prince Akhmose and the Grand Vizier whose thirst for revenge is stronger than ever.

With Layla’s help, can Prince Akhmose finally cross into the afterlife?

Or perhaps, because of the charms of the mortal woman, he doesn’t want to....

Cute fun book

I liked this book. It is on the shorter side so I was able to finish it in a single session. I will say that I adjusted the read speed to 1.4 times because I found the narrator to be a little on the slow side. 1.4x was the perfect speed for me. He had great pitch though so that is nice.

The story line is easy to follow. When the story jumps in place or time, it clearly tells you so... you are never left trying to figure out where/when you are. I look forward to more books by this author. I won't spoil the story but suffice it to say that all works out in the end.

Fantastic short story!

The author, Erika M. Zsabo, is a painter but her brush are words. She always creates beautiful mental pictures in the mind of the those who enjoy great books! This is a must read!

Fun book

This book was a cute fun read. I think this book could have been turned into a longer book with more details. But even in its shorter form it was a fun quick read. The narrator is fabulous and love his voice. Overall not a bad book.

Another good book by this Author.

The Author has a great knack for twisting a story through historical times. This was, yet another one of her interesting books. I liked the Egyptian twist. Thanks for the fun listen!
