About this listen
They call it tribute. It's just another word for sacrifice.
When a weak human king offers brides to appease the goblin horde, the goblin king sees his chance. He'll wed them to his oldest generals; warriors whose time has passed. Two birds, one stone. Keep the humans in check, remind his generals they're disposable.
Only problem? These battle-scarred veterans didn't survive decades of warfare by being stupid. And they didn't earn their scars by being merciful.
Between assassination attempts, political schemes, and a royal family that makes rattlesnakes look cuddly, the tribute brides are about to learn why goblin retirement plans don't include rocking chairs.
The goblin king's about to learn why you should read the fine print on marriage contracts - especially when your generals are more cunning than you thought.
No explicit content, but plenty of political intrigue, dark humor, and the kind of romance that blooms in blood-soaked soil. After all, in the Goblin City, nobody's quite what they seem.
Praise for the Goblin General:"The Goblin General is the first book I've read by this author. It's so good that before I was halfway through it, I bought more of her books."
"The plot is solid, the pacing is excellent, and the characters are believable."
"The world building was rich and the characters engaging."
"I have enjoyed every book of Autumn Dawn’s that I have read."
"Wonderful women goblins!"
"I loved the fierce old goblin crones!"
"Charming, amusing, enjoyable book!"
"Clean fantasy, excellent world building. Never seen anything like it."
"Please write a another sequel! I love these books. This is one of the best fantasy! I screamed and whooped! I love all the characters, even the bad one."
"I love that she doesn't write detailed sex scenes. I'm tired of reading books that offend my sensibilities."
"This was so entertaining! I truly enjoyed this book. Who would have thought of goblins for heroes?"

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

It's been thirty years since the Convergence, when the dimensions aligned and combined Earth and the world of Gwyllon, known in human mythology as “Underhill”. Elven castles and ancient ruins sprouted on vacant lots and merged with existing buildings, twisting into new structures. A new government formed of elves and men arose, a society of human tech and elven magic. Cell phones and frost giants, race cars and elven steeds, dungeons and dragons… And ...

When Zelda inherits a magic castle, it comes with ten half-starved soldiers, empty coffers, and a serious attitude problem. The castle drains her energy like a magical parasite, her half-sister wants her dead, and the local tribes are betting on how long she'll last. At least the neighboring warlord is handsome... when he's not fighting off her other suitor. But things get interesting when a monster-breeding cult leader decides to add "castle ownership" to her collection of body modifications. Between training flying squads, managing a clothes-obsessed castle, and keeping her uncle from ...

Good story
I like the storyline. I really don't like the virtual voice, it cheapens the affect. There are a lot of missed emotions.. and even a couple glitches. And... where is book 2?? I listened to this... now ready for the next... and it's not on here?? Very disappointed.

I was searching for African American clean romance and this title as well as the rest of the series was recommended. This author and the books aren’t African American. I did finish the story because I do consume without prejudice. The storyline is….interesting. The relationship is built on sticks. There are plot holes. A developmental edit would make this a 4 star read. Lots of backstabbing and plotting which was enjoyable.
