About this listen
Ever do a good deed that came back to haunt you?
Julep should have left the injured goblin by the road. Instead, she finds herself changing bloody bandages and dodging assassination attempts while her patient's equally dangerous henchmen 'guard' her.
Artur's found gold, and not the kind hidden in the bottom of Julep's cart. When her greedy family decides to cash in on their suddenly valuable relative, he does the logical thing: steals her right back and adds her to his treasure hoard.
But the Goblin City's a nasty place for humans who don't know the rules. Between rival crime lords, political backstabbing, and elderly goblin ladies who deliver mafia-style justice, Julep's learning that survival means adapting. The castle cook shows affection by force-feeding people, assassins lurk in shadows, and Artur's proving to be far more than just another violent warlord.
When an enemy starts targeting those close to Artur, Julep must decide if she's ready to fully embrace this dangerous new life...and the possessive goblin who comes with it.
No explicit content, but plenty of mayhem, dark humor, and the kind of romance that starts with kidnapping and ends with... well, more kidnapping. But the romantic kind.
Readers are saying:
“Gaslamp fantasy meets traditional fantasy.”
“Goblins could teach Machiavelli a thing or two!”
“Gripping!”
“Relaxing feel and an amusing overtone.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed the goblin stories and look forward to reading more about this fascinating world.
“Recommended for those who enjoy their fantasy lighthearted and low steam.”
“This world of goblins is a fun one. They are smart, devious, ruthless, and can play the long con.”
“These books are an unexpected joy.”
"The difference and complex dichotomy of goblin and human society is masterfully done."
“I appreciate not having to wade through a blow-by-blow depiction of sexy times. Recommend.”
“The heroes know the world is harsh, they know who and what they are. They don't apologize for protecting their people.”
"I've enjoyed each of Autumn Dawn's goblin romances so very much! The skillful world building reminds me of fairy tales that I read as a child."

They call it tribute. It's just another word for sacrifice. When a weak human king offers brides to appease the goblin horde, the goblin king sees his chance. He'll wed them to his oldest generals; warriors whose time has passed. Two birds, one stone. Keep the humans in check, remind his generals they're disposable. Only problem? These battle-scarred veterans didn't survive decades of warfare by being stupid. And they didn't earn their scars by being merciful. Between assassination attempts, political schemes, and a royal family that makes rattlesnakes look cuddly, the tribute brides are ...

The Convergence It had been thirty years since the Convergence, when the dimensions aligned and combined Earth and the world of Gwyllon, known in human mythology as “Underhill”. Elven castles and ancient ruins sprouted in vacant lots, on major highways, sometimes merging with existing buildings, twisting into completely new structures. Roads and rail systems reformed, and after the rioting, starvation and death, agriculture finally sorted itself and food began to flow. A new government formed of elves and men had arisen, a society of human tech and elven magic. Cell phones and frost ...

Story
I can turn into a housecat. It’s a fun magic, except in a world filled with vampires and werewolves, it doesn’t exactly make me a powerhouse. Instead, the supernatural community has classified me as an outcast, which means one thing: picking on me is open season all day, every day. The local fae are the worst of all, and it’s during one of their regular “capture the cat-girl” sessions that I shift into my cat form and meet HIM for the first time.

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Compiled by intrepid journalist Neve Pride, this archive of recordings spans the months after dragons emerged on earth, chronicling the communities that sprang up amid the destruction, the scientists, military leaders, and experts searching for a defense, and those steadfastly seeking the missing. Neve and her young daughter Bex travel among the wreckage speaking to those left behind and surviving, against all odds. Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them.

Not live narration

charming story
virtual voice narrative really lost any form inflection especially towards the end or just skipped words /sentences. I have this book so it's noticeable when listening. if you can move past the modern speech then it's a very charming concept for goblins. I really enjoyed reading the books on kindle. Hopefully if there's any more on audible, a human voice would really do it justice.
