About this listen
The God Matrix is a spiritual thriller that blends mystery, suspense, military intrigue, and maybe even Alien abductions, with spiritual principles and quantum physics. It will captivate you and keep you on the edge of your seat, as you are swept up in an adventure that leaves you wondering at the truth of you own existence, and even more so, wondering whether the story is indeed fact or fiction.

In 1945 when the atomic bombs were dropped in WWII, our “protectors” and “watchers” in outer space saw that Earth was on a collision course with disaster. The prime directive of non-interference prevented them from taking any action, but then they came up with a brilliant plan to save Earth and assist her in her ascension. They couldn’t interfere from the “outside”, but maybe they could influence from the “inside”. So the call went out for volunteers to come and help. “Earth is in trouble - who wants to volunteer?”

Entertaining and thought-provoking
The God Matrix is a well-written, immersive, and thought-provoking spiritual thriller by Brian Alexander. With this novel, the author manages to captivate the listener’s imagination by combining elements of mystery and thrilling events with more serious subjects like metaphysics and spirituality.
A story that starts just like any other fiction novel quickly evolves into a thoughtful narrative experience. From military secrets and themes of psychology to alien abductions, The God Matrix will surely appeal to any fans of the X-Files or other adventures that delve into science fiction and the paranormal. At the same time, this will make you ask the most important questions in human history and while doing that, will help you to find some of the potential answers.
The audiobook version of The God Matrix is brought to life by seasoned audiobook narrator and voiceover artist Frank Gerard. He delivers a balanced and more than pleasant performance for this audio production. He reads in a good cadence, he acts when necessary, and he gives a special identity to each of the characters with different voices and accents. This was definitely a good listening experience for me.
So, if you’re looking for a challenging, but extremely entertaining novel that will keep you interested and fascinated throughout the story arc, I highly recommend The God Matrix by Brian Alexander and narrated by Frank Gerard.

Definitely thought provoking
I loved listening to this audiobook! The narrator was excellent! Knowing that there is always a spiritual battle and warfare taking place in our world, I felt that this book was an interesting take on that. The language was easy to understand and the story flowed so nicely. I am certainly intrigued to know if the author will make a follow up book? I would highly recommend this audiobook to any adult who has thought vastly about religious spirituality. This book does not point anyone in to one specific religion, it is very broad and all welcoming.

A Thought Provoking Book with a Unique Storyline
The God Matrix by Brian David Alexander is a book far outside my normal genre but I am so glad I didn’t let that deter me from the audiobook. There is so much at work in this story, carefully interwoven in a way that makes the reader question everything. Are alien encounters real? How much do we really not know about our existence and the existence of other life forms? What is truly possible with energy? What is the connection between science and spirituality? The longer I listened, the more intrigued I became and the more questions I discovered. This is not a light and breezy read. It is thought provoking, and a perfect choice for a book club discussion with a lot of different perspectives and opinions. There is no way to anticipate where the story arc will take you next. What seemed like a fairly typical beginning quickly turned into an actual alien encounter and deep conversations about energy and the living universe. Then the concept of time and quantum mechanics get brought to the table. Methods of communication are fascinating. While this a work of fiction, it does provoke thoughts of “what if…?” David Brian Alexander has created a brilliantly imaginative book that offers a unique storyline, something very different than a lot of what is being published. Frank Gerard’s narration, with the exception of the voice of Johnny Hendrix which sounded so much like Jack Nicholson that it was distracting, is wonderful. His voices and cadence are easy to listen to. The downside of the book is also what works for it, and that is how much the book tackles. At times it does seem as though the author decided to include every question that mankind has ever asked about the meaning of life, the presence of other life forms, mysteries of science, and divinity. It is a lot, but it is well worth the read to get to the end. I recommend this book.

Out of This World
As the title of my review states - this book is “out of this world”.
I was able to download this book on Audible and listen during my morning and evening commute - it definitely made my commutes more tolerable and certainly more interesting!
I was a bit confused as the story unfolded then realized my confusion was simply questioning and intrigue to continue listening and see the developments go off the rails from what I was expecting.
It’s a sci-fi type story so let go of your usual “worldly” novels.
Sit back, listen and enjoy!

Will He Connect the Dots?
I really enjoyed listening to "The God Matrix" by Brian David Alexander. I felt like the narrator did a really good job of distinguishing between voices, thoughts and feelings. I never felt lost. I really enjoyed reading it and waiting to see if John would connect the dots as to what was happening him. He felt a bit fidgety until he could see things in a different way. I could relate to this in that until I look within myself, I have a hard time seeing the big picture.
I didn't realize that this would have a spiritual connection, but loved how the military, meditation, aliens, the Guardian and friends play a role in John's journey. I don't feel like this plays into any particular religion, but will make you think about your values and what you think our purpose is here on Earth.
I appreciated the ending, and love any book that involves time and space changes.
My only suggestion would be to write a proper summary of the book.

A suspenseful sci-fi thiller
I, with an open mind, enjoyed this complex story of the unknown. It taught me to doubt everything and enjoy the adventure while doing it. Johnny Hendrix is a complicated character. He has many layers and the author Brian Alexander brought out each one beautifully. He questions the truth of existence, has alien encounters and goes on a journey full of conspiracies. There are life lessons that I was surprised about in this story. Lessons on healing, having respect for all life and giving back to the universe. I was also surprised by the wisdom that is given in this book. It takes great imagination and a little knowledge of quantum physics to get through this story. I like Brian David Alexander’s writing style. It has a little bit of everything you would hope for in a great story. He draws you in and makes you think about what he is writing about. I can picture what he is describing. And sometimes you have to use your imagination because it’s really out there. It's a great story and one I would recommend if you like paranormal, spirituality and sci-fi.
I absolutely love the voice of narrator Frank Gerard. He does a great job of bringing the story to life. He identifies with each character and gives them a unique style or accent. It was perfectly done.

Captivating Spiritual Thriller
Normally I don't go for the spiritual or religious themed books but I went in with an open mind and was thoroughly surprised at how much I enjoyed this audiobook. It is basically a spiritual thriller that combines so many facets that will have you captivated until the very end. There truly is something for everyone from aliens, suspense, military and even romance. The narrator did an amazing job of showcasing different voices for each character. Definitely one to listen to!

Wow
If you’re a fan of conspiracy theories, aliens, religious beliefs, and suspense, this is a fantastic book for you! It’s an eye-opening book that kept me intrigued from the get-go. It’s about more than testing the theories we may have been taught when it comes to such complex notions. It’s about keeping an open mind while following Hendrix's journey. There is so much to unpack, that in my opinion the only way to really break it down, is to write an essay paper on the complexities. Instead, I encourage anyone interested to really sit and read and/or listen to the audio version.
I started out reading the book before but had to stop because of other things that came up. So I started listening to the audiobook version on my way to pick up and drop off my son at work and was amazed at the fact I didn’t want to stop listening. With the combination of Gerard’s narration and the powerful s story by Alexander, it made for a compelling book.
I came away from it with more questions, to be honest, but with a better sense of self. In the respect that I didn’t feel confused by those questions or feel bad that I was pondering the validity of many things, I’ve learned. It’s a seriously fascinating book. Very interesting!

John
I don’t think ‘spiritual’ and ‘thriller’ are two words you hear used together often, but in this book, it certainly is the case! And I would say it was a bit more spiritual than religious, particularly any specific religion. The story was fast paced and kept me interested. The narration was great as well. Fascinating premise.
