I Cannot Put These Down

This marks nine straight Harry Starks murder myesteries I have listened to. They are great. They have great story lines, logical development and dialogue and very interesting ways the cases are described and numerous twists and action to keep one's interest. I cannot wait to hear the next three of his I have. I listen to them in the car which gives me an incentive to star driving. I listen to the when I walk our dog and I listen to them wet I am outside working on our home. If I am alone in the house I also listen to them. I don't have to tell you anyone of the specifics about these books because I am sure if you like challenging murder stories all you need is a few chapters of these books to get you hooked on Harry Starks.

3 More Exciting Episodes

Harry does it again times 3. This book set combines very different stories/villains/venues for an eclectic mix. All the stories find Harry and his crew finding the impossible solutions to baffling mysteries. The narrator is the perfect Harry character, but his other voices are just OK. Can't wait to continue with the series. I got my copy from Audiobooks Unleashed!

Love Harry & Friends... NOT Reacher... Think Stone

I love this series... love the narrator and the reoccurring characters. Who knew Chattanooga was such an exciting "crime city"?

My ONLY objection (and it is minor) is with the publicist, not the author or narrator. A comparison to Lee Child / Reacher makes no sense at all. If Harry Starke is "like" any other similar character in crime fiction it would be Stuart Woods' Stone Barrington. ...Possibly Lucas Davenport by John Sandford.

Harry Starke does for Chattanooga what Dave Robicheaux does for New Iberia LA. I can imagine visitors wanting to know where Harry's local hangouts are.

Great

RETRIBUTION
Harry is someone who doesn’t take it lightly, when someone messes with his family. A brother is brutally murder. He has a soft spot for family even his step mother. Accidentally killed, then what’s with the gambling debt, and then why put a price tag on Harry’s head. This is not a typically PI story of Harry’s, it was deeper, and very good.

WITHOUT REMORSE.
Harry returns from his honeymoon, agency was so well run, he questions, was he needed. A cold case, from 15 years ago, the mother comes and wanting answers of her son's hunting death. Why him, he has clout in town, he can't be ignored. 4 went hunting, 1 was having affair with the dead man's wife. They all hold influencing position now, was it revenge, or what to kill a friend. They were the movers and shakers of the city and Harry didn't like any of them. Amanda not happy about him taking, she remembers it vividly, those 3 are crooks. The plot was intriguing as Harry lays out the pieces, putting together a puzzle from 15 years. The detail,, the characters are very well done. Another winner by Blair, and for readers to work along with Harry to figure this out. Looking forward to the next book.
Given audio which added to the enjoyment of these stories

So conflicted, yet adicted

I had just come off of binge reading (listening) to all the Spenser novels, so in the beginning, this series seemed so juvenile. The writing is sometimes ridiculous with over emphasis on the clothing worn, how "stunning' everyone always looks, how everyone must "grab a coffee" before any action. Things like "pulled out my iPhone and punched up the speed dial" when he could have simply said "I called Kate"... BUT, the stories are really compelling. In spite of longing for the witty wordsmithing of Robert B. Parker and Sue Grafton, I am hooked. I've made my way through 6 novels, the 6th being my favorite because the story line is unique to the others. By now the characters are well developed (like them or not) and I'm fairly vested. I'll keep going in the series.

More Chapters in a terrific series!

Not much to say. If you have been a listener since book #1 you already know all Harry Starke books are great. Unique plots, great characters, and wonderfully narrated. Looking forward to many more.

And the story goes on...

Harry Starke detective is awesome. He talks about bull dog getting ahold of information and not letting go, well Harry is worse them him. He is totally relentless once he has a case. He will keep going back to the beginning to look at the evidence once again until he sees something he missed or another theory pops into his head and then he's off again chasing down the leads. I hope you all enjoy the Harry Starke series and stand alone books as much as I have and so many more of his avid readers and followers. Thank You keep up the great work on continuing to write more Harry Starke audio books.
