Publisher's summary

Living in the Wilds isn't any picnic, but I thought I had a handle on things; avoid the beasts and I won't get eaten, avoid the waterways and the pirates won't kill me, and stab every Dark Walker I see. That was before I found out Tiffy's friends were real and back when I'd never heard of the Skinners. Now my magic is on the fritz, and people are disappearing. Dax won't let me kill any Dark Walkers, and avoiding the beasts is impossible when I live with one. Amidst all this, I've become the most wanted woman around.

Brava to Angel Clark for her flawless narration

If you could sum up The Hunt in three words, what would they be?

effective voice characterizations

Any additional comments?

Angel Clark’s flawless narration really sets off Augustine’s world building and her characters to a tee even going as far as using some really effective vocal special effects. Her narrator’s voice differing from her other voice characterizations is a persuasive tool that really benefits the listening pleasure.

The end of civilation ... not yet

Book 2 started out much faster and kept the pace. Still loved the characters ... Bookie is my favorite I think. I like that we find out a little more about the magic ... still hoping for more back story on Dahl, Dax, and Gang.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Strap in for an emotional journey!

What did you love best about The Hunt?

The hunt picks up rather quickly from where The wilds ends. We get to see stronger character development and interaction and I absolutely loved the direction the Dax character is heading.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Hunt?

The Hoard of beasts, absolutely amazing.

Have you listened to any of Angel Clark’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have enjoyed all of Angel Clark's narrative, and thus far this one is the most brilliant of her performances.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I think the most moving moment came when the heroine confronted the glowing mist.

Weird Voice..

The main character's inner voice is so different that her dialog voice. All the voices are weird to me. I did not last long listening to this. But I do like the novel and I'll finish it...by reading it.
