About this listen

It is a well-established truth that convenient scapegoats will always appear when it is the least convenient. Brimming with high-styled wit and well-tailored jocularity, Wilde’s symphonious comedy of errors is a satisfying delight.

Freely adapting Wilde’s play for the audiobook format, BJ Harrison presents a tale that is wildly entertaining while remaining true to the original material.

No Bunburies will escape unscathed, though a dead brother may make an appearance when, of course, it is absolutely the least convenient.

Wilde's wit at it's best

I love this short story. No matter how many times I've read, listened, or watched. This reading was well done!

The prose, the acting the comedy!

Loved the whole story. Fun, funny, smart, representational, a terrific Wilde classic. Brilliant and so tongue in cheek

Family Guy a la Downtown Abbey

Wonderful writing; very quick wit; plenty of wry social commentary snuck into a fun, absurd comedy. If you like Family Guy or Married with Children, this is like the 1860s British high society version set in Downtown Abbey. Loved it!

The dialogue.

I love the conversations and how much I remember from the movie! Great performances for listening.

So funny. Snarky

They pretty much insaulted each other for two hours. I have seen the movie and the movie stayed very true to the book. I loved it.

My Failing

I do not understand. I’m sorry, but this seemed quite tedious. Perhaps that was the point. I’m certain it must be my own shortcoming, but I found very little redeeming in this story.
