About this listen
Thanks to a revolution in the audiobook production business, audiobooks are now well within reach of independent authors. In fact, through ACX, the Audiobook Creation Exchange, you can have your book turned into a professional quality audiobook with, amazingly enough, no upfront costs at all.
It can be hard, though, to recruit the right narrator for your audiobook - the web is full of stories from authors who tried and failed.
Now, an experienced, full-time audiobook narrator takes you to the other side of the microphone to reveal the strategies and tips that will attract the best available talent on ACX to create a winning audiobook for you.
I'll take you step by step through the process, show you the key elements - I call them the Three Cs - that will convince me (or another fabulous narrator) to produce your audiobook. I'll tell you what to include in your book's listing on ACX and what not to include.
I'll walk you through exactly how I evaluate a potential project, how to evaluate potential narrators, and how to promote your audiobook for best results.
I'll even give you a backstage tour of how an audiobook is created, from pre-production to final quality checks.
All in about two hours! Two hours from now you could be well on your way to easily adding another revenue stream to your bank account, with no upfront investment, all from work you have already done when you created your book!
I'm a full-time professional audiobook narrator, and have delivered nearly 200 hours of finished audiobooks on the ACX platform.

I call this soul-sucking, dream-stealing dogma "The Slowlane" - an impotent financial gamble that dubiously promises wealth in a wheelchair. Years ago, after suffering a humiliatingly large dumb tax, it dawned on me that I have a seemingly unlimited ability to hit unforced errors and sabotage my business and financial success. I suspect you do, too. It turns out that the key to getting rich (and staying that way) is to avoid doing stupid things. I don't need to do more smart things. I just need to make fewer dumb mistakes. The vast majority of our dumb tax is a direct result of emotional, overly optimistic, and poorly thought out decisions.

Interesting even if you not a author
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes especially if they listen to lots of audio books or an author.
Any additional comments?
Have you ever thought how a audio book gets made? Why some audio books sound great while other are sometimes lacking in production or sound? How are Audible books priced and who gets paid what? I'm not an author but I listen to many hours of audio books per week and this audio book finally shed some light on things I've always wondered about when it comes how my audio book is made.

Great step by step introductory guide
Short & to the point. Professionally written & produced by an experienced narrator, who provides valuable insights along with advice garnered from his own 1st hand experiences. Great beginner guide for would be producers & authors interested in producing audio versions of there ebooks etc. Burnette has a high degree of authenticity, but would have appreciated just a bit more detail in a few key areas but hopefully he'll produce another volume on the subject which I would readily purchase. Thank you

this guy just makes you want to love him.
it was an amazing experience, I am a new first time author seeking the tricks to the trade, but Michael Burnette, has totally changed my life in this regard. I have been thinking of the whole process of moving from book to audio book, as massively expensive and complicated. but after listening to this short book, my eyes have been open, and the darkness no longer lingers within my view. I definitely recommend this book for anyone interested in making an audiobook. thank you so much, and I can hardly wait to see what else Michael has produced.

Audio book production for Authors
I purchased this title to get a big picture of the various topics one must understand to produce a book.
For me the most important topic is how to get into audio book production business IF YOU ARE NOT THE AUTHOR.
The current book skips this entire topic and my feedback is to release another version of the book that covers topics for folks who want to enter this as a business opportunity. I could read about this issue, but would prefer to hear about it.
