Pretty good overall

Overall this book was very informative and has all the major information that you need. Specifically if you are new to Amazon self publishing and are planning on writing short stories and or novellas that are erotic. The author and narrator are very funny and how she works things and the sexual puns are to die for. That being said if you're looking for a book that has the Beats on how to write erotica you will not find it here. Other than that everything else is covered in this book. .

Very Helpful

Super practical advice, delivered in an honest, no-nonsense but ultimately friendly and supportive way, like getting advice from your big sister.

If you're looking for instructions on how to *write* your story, this probably isn't the book you want. Most of the book is spent on detailed, step-by-step advice on how to break into the erotica genre and successfully publish and market your books. While there is a little writing advice, it's minimal and extremely basic.

If you are delicate about your book or contemptuous about strategies like market research and tailoring your writing to meet the interests of readers because you're an artist and you refuse to sell out and comprimise your vision...you'll probably find this book offensive. If you've been self-publishing for a while, and especially if you publish on Kindle, this book probably doesn't contain much that you don't already know, although you might learn a few things.

But if you are a beginner, if you're serious about the business side of publishing and turning your writing into a sustainable career -- all while not taking yourself or your writing too seriously! -- this book is an invaluable aid.

Great book, but wrong abt one thing

r/EroticaAuthors is NOT a friendly place. The moderator, "u/salaciousstories" is a gatekeeping snob.

I tried posting a simple question there that did not violate any rules, and was similar to all the rest of what's posted, and he removed my post and spewed abusive, passive-aggressive insults at me. I felt singled out for being new and like the mod was applying the rules unfairly. When I called them out on it, they kept hurling abuse at me and basically told me, "I'm the moderator, I can do what I want."

NOT a friendly place for newcomers. Good place to look for info, but I would avoid posting unless you are already an expert.
