Enjoyed this book

Good read! I enjoyed the real life issues presented and the variety of characters introduced. A bit more graphic than most book, thats what makes this writer interesting and unique.

Wonderful and worth the credit

I love these boxed sets! It was fun to watch Ivy move from chapter to chapter. Suspense and fantasy takes you out of your own thinking. Throughly enjoyable. The narrators voice was calming.

Is this YA?

I am less than half way through & thinking of returning this. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m an adult and this might be written for younger people? If I knew that for sure, I would say it was pretty good if I had no life experience. But having life experience, this is not mature, or well thought out writing. The life lessons are very basic, right down to “stay in school”. Yet the inexperienced teen girls are able to inexplicably escape certain death. The author has promise, but as a series (if Ivy survives) it’s better for Young Adults.

Could be better.

The beginning had Ivy and friends taking Krav maga supposedly weekly which they never came back to. If your going to take those classes it needs to be at least three times a week to be any good these girls need it. They should all be dead many times, especially Ivy. Check out Sasha Mccallister by Melissa Miller the Jet books to see how women can have chance against men in those situations. Not only do these women make stupid blunders but they do the same ones or close repeatedly.
