About this listen

Meet Branimir Baran, the slave destined to save the world.

Bran is a Kras, a race enslaved by the Highborn for generations. He witnesses the forging of the forbidden dagger, kaelandur, created to execute Nedezhda, a Highborn found guilty of practicing death magic.

But Nedezhda rises again with a horde of demons, leaving Branimir and his companions to seek out the Tree of Life with hopes of stopping them from destroying it. Over a thousand years, the looming threat grows to extend across all lands.

When Branimir hears the dead are spilling over from the Netherworld, he not only realizes kaelandur may have a greater purpose, but also that the desires of the gods are incongruent with the interests of mortals. Against all odds, he is left to protect the magical dagger, or leave the whole world to fall to ruin.

The Kaelandur series box set includes Melkorka, Dyndaer, and Maharia. Look for other books in the Thrice Nine Legends saga.

AMAZING recreation of a FAN FAVORITE, epic fantasy

“The Kaelandur Series Box Set: Thrice Nine Legends Saga” by J Robertson
I have not yet read the entire TITLE, but I found the “Anaerfell” books to be so fascinating, I jumped at the opportunity to hear “The Kaelandur Series Box Set: Thrice Nine Legends Saga” an Audible Audiobook. It is amazing! I have to admit that at first the voice of Fred Wolinsky was so different from the narrator I had imagined in my head as I read, I was a bit disappointed. However, once the characters began to speak, and Wolinsky gave each their own separate voice, I was ecstatic! Hearing Wolinsky’s interpretation of the characters and their voices as I re-read and listened to Anaerfell, was like a brand new view into a favorite realm. I can’t say much more without giving away too much, so I’ll leave with this. Although I was given an ARC of the audible file for “The Kaelandur Series Box Set: Thrice Nine Legends Saga” I will be checking out some other titles voiced by Fred Wolinsky! Five-STARs all the way! Happy ears! 😉

Good adventure with action and fantasy!

The Kaelandur Series Box Set by Joshua Robertson and narrated by Fred Wolinsky is an audible book given to me on his newsletter. The first book had plenty of action and fantasy in it. The world has magic users and creatures that are slaves, and other creatures. It ends as a cliffhanger.
Book two it seemed was mostly dialogue although there was some action. Same main characters mostly but much older!
The third book seemed very short and with a dramatic ending.
The narration was strange in spots. One character spoke like Yoda, so I guess that is on the writer not the narrator. Another character was performed with a very squeaky voice , the main character, and boy did that get old!

Whew...

Book 1
3 1/2 stars
I didn't get into this book until almost the end. It took a lot for me to try and figure out what was even going on.

Book 2
4 1/2 stars
This book was soooo much better. I really got into the story. I needed to know what was going to happen next. Intense, lots of action, but over use I think for the word magic.

Book 3
4 stars
It started of great. Waned in the middle and the ending was okay. This book is a long journey, would be better shown in a movie than in a book for my preference. Lots of walking and wondering.

I didn't really connect with the characters and was a little confused on each of their backgrounds. I would definitely watch if it was turned into a movie though, if that makes sense.

Overall if you like Fantasy you should give this story a try, you might love it where I thought it was just okay.

Narrator
OMG!!! SERIOUSLY 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
How one person did all these voices I will never know, but he nailed it!

Great storyline

This fantasy started off slow but really picked up later. I was glad I listened to the audio because it was a little difficult to tell who was talking sometimes. Overall I thought was a pretty good plot and I would read this author again.
