Publisher's summary

A delicious new audiobook that's better than fiction!

Secrets and scandals of the Kardashians, so closely held that not even hardcore fans have heard about them, are finally exposed in New York Times best-selling author Jerry Oppenheimer's forensic dissection of the infamous reality TV clan. From the curious life of patriarch Robert Kardashian, whose family meatpacking business was tainted by scandal, to "momager" Kris Jenner's top-secret plan for the future, The Kardashians reveals the untold, definitive story based on two years of investigative reporting and scores of candid, on-the-record interviews, ranging from childhood friends to powerful business associates, who break their silence for the first time.

In the decade since the Kardashians first appeared on the scene, millions of speculative words have been written about their drama-filled lives. But most has been tabloid hype and gossip column fantasy. Until now.

Oppenheimer has authored revelatory books on such international icons as the Clintons, the Kennedys, the Hiltons, and more. Now comes The Kardashians, the true story that will make headlines and shock even the most loyal fans.

This audiobook will make listeners gasp, cringe, and take to social media.

Not worth a credit

I am giving this book 2 stars because I was able to finish the whole thing so I guess it wasn't so terrible and I learned some interesting facts.
However this was more a book about Robert and Kris Kardashian and it was certainly biased.
The author has a clear disdain for Kris and even her kids and it just didn't feel like a truthful biography when so much personal emotion was involved.
He says at one point "kendall and kylie are obviously much more physically attractive than the Kardashian sisters" which is fine as an opinion but doesn't belong in an unbiased biography.
At times he sounds racist, sexist and judgemental in some of the things he said. I can't recount how many times he said 'black boyfriend, black men etc'.
He made it a point to repeat multiple times that 'Kourtney had 3 children out of wedlock' and 'Kris had nothing more than a high school education ' with so much disdain that you could just feel his judgement dripping with each word.
There was a exorbitant amount of information repeated and the timeline was all over the place.
Was I interested... yes but in reality I wouldn't reccomend it and I dont think it was worth the price.

An evil approach to their story.

My perception is that the author has manipulated reality in a malicious and negative way. It is a book that, although it may be somewhat entertaining, is based on trying to make the Kardashians look bad. Only at the beginning he comment that Robert Kardashian was unattractive unlike Cesar Sanudo, that is beyond all reality. Well… too bias

Mean Spirited & Sophomoric

You’d think the writer has been personally harmed by the Kardashian’s the way this is written. Even if what’s written is true, it’s written in such a petty, malicious way - as the author actually accuses Kris Jenner’s mother of manipulation because she gave her future husband an ultimatum regarding his alcoholic drinking - that it makes the author’s claims less credible. Waste.

Don't waste you're time

Very negative concept of the family including Robert. Bounced around situations and at times hard to keep up
