About this listen

Murder is not a one-size-fits-all crime. People kill for many reasons. Revenge. Jealously. Hate. Even love. Officer Georgia Morgan with the Nashville Police Department Forensics Unit didn’t generally care about motivation behind a killing. That was big picture. She cared about the micro picture: hair fibers, fingerprints, DNA, and all the other minute details that proved guilt or innocence. Homicide Detective Jake Bishop was her opposite. He saw the forest, not the trees. Sure, he’d use Georgia’s forensic work in the courtroom to sway a jury, but when it came to day-to-day investigations, it took a back seat. With the clock ticking to catch a killer, Bishop didn’t wait for backed-up state labs or fingerprint analysis.

Thanks to Audible listener Charles Atkinson for his review of this short story. It is a complete story in a mere 21 minutes. There are six other short stories in the Cold-Blooded series written by different authors but all narrated by Jennifer Riker.

Writing an excellent short story requires talent!

Far too short, I thought this was an entire book, then realized once it was in my library that it was only 20 odd minutes long. I decided to check it out anyways, and it’s good. I want MORE!
*chuckles*..it has been an unusual way (for me at least), to discover a new to me Author, but I’m glad I did...I look forward to listening to one of her full length books..

Give this a Listen, like Me, this may end up being Your gateway to a new and interesting Author....Enjoy!, I did...

Too Short, but Great + a Gateway to Someone New

The DNA evidence could easily be explained by any good defense attorney. The detectives should have tried to obtain a confession.

Not believable

Short but good. Ended immediately, when usually there's something after the story. Pretty complete for such a short story.

Short and to the point

A short story that covers 19 years? Brilliant! Smart police work in one heck of a interrogation. I’d love to hear more from the detective !

A Great Police Interrogation

The storyline is good… it just seemed to come to an abrupt end. I will still consider other offerings by the author!

Is it really over?!!

This is 20 minutes long and totally pointless. I generally like Mary Burton but not this.

Why did I pay money for this?
