Story
Somewhere on the frontier between thought and reality exists the Discworld, a parallel time and place that might sound and smell very much like our own, but which looks completely different. Particularly as it’s carried though space on the back of a giant turtle (sex unknown). It plays by different rules. But then, some things are the same everywhere. The Disc’s very existence is about to be threatened by a strange new blight: the world’s first tourist, upon whose survival rests the peace and prosperity of the land.

Eleven-year-old Nan Sparrow is quite possibly the best climber who ever lived - and a girl. But when Nan gets stuck in a deadly chimney fire, she fears her time has come. Instead, she wakes to find herself in an abandoned attic. And she is not alone. Huddled in the corner is a mysterious creature - a golem - made from ash and coal. This is the creature that saved her from the fire.

Story
For nearly a century, Victorian London relied on “climbing boys” - orphans owned by chimney sweeps - to clean flues and protect homes from fire. The work was hard, thankless, and brutally dangerous.

Another cute addition to the series
I've listened to a few in this series and they all have similar charm. They're not really my cup of tea nor were they intended to be. (It might surprise you that I'm not 7). My 6 and 8 year old daughters however really enjoy listening to these stories in the car. Especially this one with sound effects, unicorns, and Christmas -- that's a combination that's hard to beat that those ages.
Heads up: there are some religious themes but no more than you'd expect to find in any other Christmas story.

Another charming unicorn book with ASMR narration
This is another charming Laura Hesse unicorn book, narrated by the author. Her voice is so soothing it takes on an ASMR quality and can literally lull you to sleep. This one is particular is a lot of fun for holiday nighttime reading with your little one(s), I highly recommend it. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A good holiday story for kids
The King of Christmas is a good holiday story for kids with three little pigs, Santa and his reindeer, magical unicorns, and a very special baby in the manger.
The audiobook is read by the author who does a good job, though she differentiates the characters by saying the character name instead of by giving them individual voices. My children were bothered a little by the reading of the book name and chapter at the beginning of each short chapter. This might make it ideal for a child who is reading along with the audiobook however.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review..

The King of Christmas
Another great addition to the continuing adventures of Gus, the Unicorn Prince, and his friend Jesse.
Three little pigs visit Santa's reindeer a few days before Christmas and soon they are all sick with colds! Will Christmas be cancelled since the reindeer can't pull Santa's sleigh? Or, will Gus and Jesse be able to convince the Unicorn King to let Unicorns pull the sleigh?
A wonderful reminder of the true meaning of Christmas, fun for all ages. I hope that Ms. Hesse continues to write more adventures for Gus and Jesse!
