For the last year, visions of the disappearing angel Lord Quentin Post danced with and kissed at his brother's Samhain masquerade have haunted his dreams and his plagued his waking thoughts. Convinced that hosting the masquerade once more is the only way to find the girl who got away and unmask her once and for all, Quentin enlists the help of his sisters and friends alike. He has thought everything through down to the last detail, except after returning to Ravenglass it's another girl completely who invades his thoughts at every turn.
Miss Lila Southward fell quite in love with Lord Quentin the first moment she met him, and she's loved him every moment since. She is overjoyed when he and returns to Ravenglass and Marisdùn Castle, however her heart is crushed when she realizes he's searching for a mysterious angel he met the previous year, and not for her. Or is he?
And when an ancient evil is released inside the walls of the castle, nothing will ever be the same again.

Overall, this was a very good book and the characters were great too. I loved every one of them except Vicar Southward. He was an A-hole but we were never really told why he disliked Quent so much, or why he constantly yelled at his daughters and niece or why he insisted on complete and total silence in the house. He really was an absolute jerk throughout the entire book. I loved the haunted castle and the “possession,” though. I like anything paranormal, especially ghosts. (Cindy Miles has some awesome Ghost Romances I read over and over again.)
There was no sex in this story but it was such an entertaining story that the lack of sex was fine. However, the word “c*ck” was used, sexually, 2 times, I have no idea why. And there was no swearing.
As to the narration: WOW! The vicar was a little cray-cray and Stevie Zimmerman made him sound just like he should. The men sounded like they should and the women all had their own voices. She read with great emotions, too. SZ did a wonderful job on this book.
Great read and narration..
