Publisher's summary

This unabridged audio edition of The Land Between provides fresh biblical insight for people traveling through undesired transitions - foreclosure, unemployment, parents in declining health, post-graduate uncertainty, business failure - who are looking for hope, guidance, and encouragement. What if life's transitions are there to remind us that God is present before, during, and after these periods?

Not answers

This was a good listen. He talks about the places in life you don’t want to be in and then focuses on what good can come out of a situation that seems to have no upside.

COMPLETELY RELEVANT TO 2020

This book's ability to teach lessons from the Bible, a book so well known to many, through everyday life occurrances makes the Old Testament stories relevant and breathing. It is refreshing to understand not only WHY these stories were provided by God, but also that EVERYONE can learn, no matter how old, from our good and gracious Father in Heaven. I will be using this book to lead a life group about the transitions and "wandering" through life in the time of Corona, 2020. Without a current solution or end in sight, having perspective as to God's presence through our current struggles will be one that uplifts and bolsters those who feel alone and isolated, confused and scared. I am so excited to share this book with others.

Encouraging

God used this book to reach right where I’m at: In the land in between. This is hard, but God is with me and is transforming me along the way. Great is His faithfulness.

Honest and open

I appreciated that the author was so transparent about the struggles in his own life; never pretending to have all the answers but answering some of my questions. Thanks for sharing your heart.

A wonderful read

What a fantastic book. Seeing as how my life has been full of problems, illnesses, deaths, cross country moving, and unending bullying as I grew up, I can definitely relate to the example stories, both of people the author knew personally, and prominent Biblical figures as well. He does a wonderful job of taking parts of the Bible that I have to admit, I glazed over as "I've never acted like THAT" or "That has nothing to do with me", and made clear and concise connections, making what was once a very foreign story end up becoming profoundly important to me, and one I intend to keep in mind as I go forward.

The only "issue" I had was on the audio end, the quality was spotty in some parts, but I think this is likely a problem with the streaming process rather than the actual audiobook.

I'd say this is definitely a book to read/listen to, and I can only hope it helps others as it did for me.

Excellent Book.

This books speaks to me in such a profound way. I now know how to navigate my wilderness experiences with God's grace and mercy. I will use each time I find myself in the wilderness as an opportunity to allow the fertile ground to trust God and grow my faith in my Heavenly Father. I would recommend this book to all Christians as it is a must read!
