About this listen
Lydia Colburn is a young physician dedicated to serving her village in the Land. When injured fighter pilot Connor Bradshaw's parachute carries him from the war engulfing the 2025 world to her hidden land, his presence threatens her plans, her family, and the survival of her preindustrial society.
As Connor searches for a way to return to his squadron, his fascination with life in the Land makes him protective of Lydia and her peaceful homeland, and Lydia's attraction to Connor stirs desires she never anticipated.
Written like a historical, set like a sci-fi, and filled with romance, The Land Uncharted weaves adventure and love in this suspenseful story of a hidden land.

Only a few chapters in...
My mother read this series and then read the three prequels. She couldn’t shut up about how good they were so I finally caved in and ordered the first book of the prequels here. It was terrible to listen to! The voice actress doing the reading was awful and she seemed to be trying to speed read her way through it. So I decided to skip to the next series only to find it the same! This woman is like listening to a droning robot. I may finish this one but I will not listen to any of the others. I don’t have much time to sit and read so it may be a while before I finish this series. Too bad that both of the series are read by such terrible actresses.

Compelling story of a land forgotten
Would you consider the audio edition of The Land Uncharted to be better than the print version?
I haven't read the print version, but I was drawn to this book about a month ago when I saw the synopsis and knew it was something I wanted to pick up quickly. When the author offered the audio version in exchange for an honest review, I was hooked into an immediate desire to follow my instincts on this being a great read.
What other book might you compare The Land Uncharted to and why?
It had an historical feel, like "Little Women" and a touch of Narnia in a land either lost or forever forgotten.
Which scene was your favorite?
I loved the scene where Lydia tried to save the boys from being washed out to sea. It proved beyond any doubt that she was someone who would always put the needs of others above herself...what better attribute for a doctor?
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me extremely introspective about the discourse in our lands today.
Any additional comments?
Keeley Brooke Keith has woven a delightful tale of a land inhabited 7 generations ago by people trying to escape from the war and unrest of their previous lives. Lydia Colburn started studying to be a nurse when she was only 16. Her father, John, one of the village's elders watches over her with a strong sense of right and wrong as she struggles to understand what draws her to the naval aviator who blew onto the island with a magical piece of cloth, that carried him to their shores. Like every good book, there are some evil people who have their own ideas about Lydia's destiny. Between her brother, Levi, and her sister's interactions with the handsome stranger, Lydia is even more determined than ever to fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor with or without the handsome stranger. Connor Bradshaw has his hands full as he struggles to learn the customs of "The Land" and gain favor with the beautiful young healer who rescues him from the ocean's wrath. I loved the audio version and highly recommend this soul-searching story to those who love historical fiction and romance and Christian science fiction.

Uncharted Land
If you could sum up The Land Uncharted in three words, what would they be?
This audio book is awesome! I can visualize the roasted lamb, the glass door knob, the conversation between Lydia and her aunt and the expression on her brother's face about building a new house. I could see Connor in my mind falling from the sky. I could even see the disgust on Frank's face toward Connor and I felt his inappropriate affection toward Lydia. I wanted to try some gray leaf tea and I even searched the internet to see where I could buy some. Then I had to realize that this was not a real medicinal tea, but an awesome fabrication that leap from the author's mind on to the page. It was like I was taking part in these characters lives, like they were real people and I knew them. I was living in another place and time and I didn't want to leave.

Couldn’t even get past a few sentences
My husband is laughing now - it’s an automated voice! I didn’t realize that when I started listening to it this morning, even though it’s so obvious now. I just knew I couldn’t listen to any more, even though I was so excited about it when I first downloaded it.
I’ll either find it with a different narrator or get the hard copies (or ebook) sometime.
Don’t be fooled by the (I hope) fake reviewers who say it has a great performance! Ridiculous. Horrendous way to listen to a book.
I gave Story & overall good ratings because I couldn’t leave them blank and am giving the benefit of the doubt for now.

The land Uncharted
Any additional comments?
There is a spiritual theme of good against evil throughout the story It describe different people deal differently with evil. There is the question--is God in control and if so, does He punish man’s rebellion? The reader/ listeners has to make up their own conclusion.

The Man From the Sky
I loved learning more about the uncharted land and its people. This audiobook was done very smoothly by the narrator.
Intriguing, troubles, romance and an interesting man that falls from the sky. Oh yes! He knew of modern inventions the people of the land had never heard of. What will they do with a man that may jeopardize their whole way of life? He is just as surprised at their way of living as they are of where he came from. I find it very interesting that a group of people could possibly do what the people of The Land did. Good writing Mrs Keith I really enjoyed this book. Now on to the next audiobook book Uncharted Redemption.
I received a free audio code but was not required to write a review.

Slow and robotic
I really wanted to like this but...it starts out slow. I couldn't tell if it was the storyline or the storytelling. The reader sounds like the automated voices and there just wasn't enough life out into the voices. A waste of a credit for sure!

The Land Uncharted
Any additional comments?
Though it starts out slow,or the narrator reads it slow, this story picks up and doesn't slow down or disappoint.A stranger falls to a new land that has not had a new person for many years. He is rescued by a girl who is training to be a doctor. Her family takes him in and life goes on, as it often does.
Narrated by Kate Fisher, this story starts out very slowly.I mean it is read so slowly that I nearly gave up at one point.Once she warms up she is excellent.
