Publisher's summary

I never thought I’d see home again.

Now, I almost wish I hadn’t.

After giving myself up to the Fae, I expected to become the latest casualty of a war that should have ended centuries ago. Instead, I ended up inextricably bound to the last vampire on earth.

My life since the Fae marked me has become unrecognizable. Inside, I’m still the 26-year-old waitress who struggled with working two jobs while being serially dumped by a parade of disgruntled boyfriends. Now, I’ve somehow become a figurehead, coveted, and despised in equal measure by two warring supernatural races.

Can I trust the fragile bond connecting my heart to the unbeating heart of a vampire? Every instinct I possess tells me to pull back...protect myself...protect him. But every time I try to run away, I end up back in his arms.

Alliances are shifting. Old resentments are flaring. Both my father and I are now chess pieces in someone else’s grand strategy.

No more. I’m done with being a pawn.

It’s time to up my game.

The Last Vampire is a steamy new urban fantasy romance series from USA Today bestseller R. A. Steffan and Jaelynn Woolf, co-authors of the Circle of Blood saga.

Download this book today, and enter a world shared by humans, fae, demons, and one very reluctant vampire. It’s a place where the supernatural threatens the mundane, nothing is as it seems, and love will either be the world’s downfall - or its salvation.

The Last Vampire Book 3

I swear these books get more intense with each addition. You get a bit more background while the present is captivating at the same time and the twist at the end! It will be so hard waiting for the next installment.

Best one in this series so far!

I am an avid listener of Steffan, Woolf, and Druyor. For this series, we have the Last Vampire of the title Rans, but the real main character is Zorah. In the first book, she is weak in mind and body, but she grows as a character so much. In this story, Zorah visits hell quite literally, and it's a big contrast to the land of fairy that she visited in book 2. She comes into her power in a very self-possessed way. Watching the character growth has been fantastic, and there is still more to come to find out what's happening with them.

Druyor as narrator is typically excellent. She performs and gets out of the way of the story. That's how a good performance should be.

This book could be read as a stand-alone, but I don't recommend it. Readers who like vampires, a hero's journey, and two characters with undeniable chemistry should pick this up. You'll enjoy it!

Another winning entry in this exciting series.....

The Last Vampire: Book Three picks up immediately where the second book finished, so I think it would be difficult to read this as a standalone. For the first half of the book, Rands is training Zora for her upcoming trip to Hell to find her father (kidnapped by a demon in book two). This training leads to all kinds of steamy moments between the two and an especially interesting visit to a sex club. The second half of the book describes Zora's travels through Hell, and she not only meets many likeable humans and demons, she makes a startling discovery that forces her to make a decision between helping Rands or helping her father. As usual with these authors, the book features the perfect combination of sarcastic wit, exciting and adventurous challenges and development of the romance between Zora and Rands. Although Zora is a succubus feeding off sexual energy to survive, this book is so much than the sizzle running throughout it, and I highly recommend it and the entire series for anyone with a hankering for fantasy and the paranormal.

Gwendolyn Druyor narrates with her usual skill and finesse. She narrates all the books in the series, and she has become the voice of Zora and Rands. With her beautiful British accent, she is the perfect choice for Rands, but she handles Zora's American voice equally well. Honestly, the team of these two authors and this narrator make for an automatic audiobook purchase.

Exciting!

This third installment of the series advances the story a lot. We get an even larger glimpse into how the fae, human, and demon worlds are connected and the importance of the last vampire, Rans. These writers are extremely talented and I have enjoyed this series immensely. A series full of originality! Love Zorah and Rans as characters, they're well written and have many great qualities. There is some surprising betrayal and the plot thickens in this book. There is a lot of excitement and intense moments as we follow Zorah into Hell and back.

Love the narration throughout the series and this book is just as amazing. The narrator is staying consistent from book to book and has given fabulous performances. She fits the story and characters well and had been a pleasure to listen to for each book!

Fantastic Story & Listen🎧 Fascinating & Addictive!

I love this great series! R.A Steffan & Jaelynn Woolf created an imaginative and fascinating world of where humans, demons, Fae and yes, the last vampire live. The world dynamics are amazing and we learn more about it as Zorah delves deeper in the supernatural world. In this book she goes to be with her Dad, who was brought to Hell after his release from the Fae realm. Nigellas convinced Zorah & Rans that Hell was a safe place for Zorah and he takes her there. Zorah not only spends time but she stumbles upon things that point to bad things happening. Betrayals and possibly threats to world peace amongst three realms. I highly recommend this exciting series, it has so much to offer including drama, action, twists, suspense and hot romance. I am looking forward to the 4th book and what happens next for the DemonKin & The Last Vampire AND their world! Thank you R.A Steffan & Jaelynn Woolf for another awesome story!

I listened to the Audible edition, narrated by the talented Gwendolyn Druyor. She is an awesome voice performer who puts a lot of heart and emotion in to her performance. She brings the characters to life, gives each their own unique voice and personality. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen🎧

To Hell and Back

Book 3 and still the questions keep piling up. Zorha having only recently learned that she is not completely human has had so much to face. But before I say more I would just like to say that these books MUST be listened to, or read, in order otherwise you will miss too much of what is going on. At the end of book 2, Zorah had just returned from her trip to Dine to try and rescue her father. Well, that didn't really work and she ended up needing rescuing herself by the lovely Rans. In order to do this, he bound their lives together by means of blood and a magic crystal he stole from Nigelous his demon mentor and friend.

In the last few weeks, the bond between Zorah and Rans has strengthened despite her attempts to deny her feelings for Rans. She still feels unworthy and hates that he has bound his existence to hers.

Now Zorha has decided to go into "hell" itself in an attempt to protect and defend her father, he was sent there by the Fae as part of the tithe paid to the demons in accordance with the peace treaty signed some 200 years ago. Zorha has been told that to enter Hell is relatively easy but in order to leave it she may have to bind her soul to a demon - but wouldn't that mean binding Rans too?

After she and Rans are attacked at a sex club and visited by a Demon Rans tells her that Hell may be the safest place for her. So trying to hide her broken heart and believing that Rans wants to be rid of her she is taken by Nigelous to Hell itself. Not sure if she will be able to leave and believing that Nigelous is trustworthy she asks that if she can't get out under her own steam that he binds her to him so she can leave.

Down she goes into the depths of the earth to get to the "gate of hell". You'll never guess where it is so I'll tell you it's in California! Once there she starts finding out as much as she can about her new home and the people and demons who reside there.

She finds a way to feed without actually having sex as she feels that would be a betrayal of her love for Rans and she keeps testing her ability to leave. Having been told it would not be a problem it is much more difficult than she first thought.

She meets her long, lost Grandsire, the demon who started this whole mess in the first place. He turns out to be a much bigger problem than expected. Whilst in Hell she discovers something which could alter everything, something which Rans needs to know so she decides the time has come to leave - but will this be possible?

In this book both Zorah and Rans finally admit their true feelings but is it too late - can they stop the plot by someone close to Rans from succeeding? This book like the previous two ends on another cliffhanger and I will now have to wait for the audio of the next book to be released.

Once again Gwendolyn Druyor has done a spectacular job with the narration of this book, she truly is Zorah or Rans or whomever she wants to be. So much life and feelings are expressed by her voice and the characters are brought to life by her wonderful narration.

Utterly Entertaining!!

I have listened to all three books in this series and find this one the best yet! I love Rans and Zora has come a long ways! She started out on the weak side but she is slowly coming into her own. This is packed with steam, action, adventure, twists and turns! As with the other two books, the storyline is well written and the characters excellently developed. Gwendolyn Druyor is a wonderful narrator who knows how to bring a story and it's characters to life for the listener. She keeps the voices the same from book one to three. She's such a wonderful narrator that I cannot think of anyone else doing this series! If you enjoy vampire stories then you really need to check this series out. However I will warn you, they do end in cliffhangers. I do not suggest reading or listening to these out of order. Awesome series by an awesome author and narrator!
