About this listen

This fascinating account was written as the events of Lincoln's assassination unfolded, and contains insight into the chaos that surrounded it. Included are interesting details of Booth and his motives, the manhunt, as well as the speedy trial and execution of the conspirators, including the first ever woman executed by the federal government, Mary Surratt.©2007 Classic CD Books (P)2007 Classic CD Books Historical True Crime United States World

How could such a small man take the life of such a

Would you consider the audio edition of The Life, Crime and Capture of John Wilkes Booth to be better than the print version?

No, but it's easier for me to hear it on audio while driving.

What did you like best about this story?

Finding out who Booth was as a person, but I still can't understand his actions. Just another sick coward.

What three words best describe Erik Sellin’s performance?

Easy to listen.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was good, but not one that I couldn't take a break from.

Any additional comments?

This book gives you an insight of the character of Booth. It's unfortunate how such sad and sick people can have so much influence on history and our lives.
