Convicted. Jailed. All for a crime that never even happened

My name is Amber Ryan.

I’m in prison, but I’m innocent.

And I’ve been jailed not just for a crime I didn’t commit, but for a crime that never even happened.

Now, my friend is going to try to prove it.

But to do that, she has to go back.

Back to the dark place.

And I know she may not get out alive…

Great suspense throughout as the POV switches back and forth between Heather, Amber, and Jack, but primarily Heather. Heather's ex-best friend, Amber, is serving a life sentence for a crime that allegedly never happened against both Heather and Amber's ex-boyfriend, Jack. Yes, I know that sounds confusing, but it's really not. They dated Jack at different times, and Heather tried to warn Amber not to get involved with him. Needless to say, Amber didn't listen.

As the book starts out, Heather is tricked by Felicity, the sister of Nathan. They want her to help them find evidence that Jack set up Amber for a crime that was never committed and was the reason another woman was killed. To help them, Heather will have to start dating Jack again, which is the last thing in the world she wants to do. However, Nathan knows for a fact that there's evidence because Jack admitted what he'd done. One evening, Jack, after having several drinks with Nathan, not only confessed to what he'd done but showed Nathan video footage. If Heather agrees to help, Amber can be freed from prison, and Jack's other victim will have her reputation restored posthumously. Sounds easy enough. What could possibly go wrong?

An absolute must-read!
