About this listen

The only Regency ever with a hero on the Asperger's Spectrum!

Everyone thinks the Marquess of Hastings is odd. He doesn't really want a wife, but he has to find one. Elisabeth likes books more than men. A marriage of convenience. What can possibly go wrong?

Nowadays the Marquess would probably be described as having Asperger's. He's good-looking and rich, but his lack of social skills make it hard for him to find a much-needed wife. He scandalizes the ton by putting an advertisement in the newspaper describing the type of spouse he requires and the marriage of convenience he envisages. Amazingly, he finds a suitable candidate. Elisabeth is an impoverished gentlewoman with literary aspirations. But can this oddly-assorted pair possibly coexist, let alone find happiness?

This novel is a gently amusing look at an unusual but endearing Regency couple.

Talented author

What a well-written breath of fresh air. I’ve been so tired of the pap that has flooded this genre that when I started this, I knew I was about to settle into a very pleasant listen. Excellent pacing, unique storyline, humorous interchanges, likable supporting cast. I’ve found a new author, and hopefully she does more like this.

Love this ODD Regency Romance

Unusual hero and story, but this was a very enjoyable book. I listened to it straight through. Also unusual having the author read it. She isn’t a “pro” but I quite liked her narration

Unique and amusing

An Interesting and clean romance. I very much enjoyed it. The author did a very good job reading her own book . I couldn't give her performance 5 stars, since that takes someone with the talent of someone like Rosalyn Landor, but the book was excellent and the author's performance much better than the norm.
