This is another good adventure in the life of Will Cannon. I have liked all of Will Cannon books. Some better than others but all is good. This one is great. There is a map that's suppose to lead to gold. There is four pieces and different people has a piece. People is willing to kill for it. This is a short book but it's interesting and a good story line. Mark Carrell does a good job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

I understand not every writer is a Twain or Hemingway, but the writing of this novella is just poor. After a short time it was just drudgery to listen to. With lines for characters, often repeated, like "the miner with the gray beard" or "the cowboy with blond hair." Lots of overdone cowboy speech like "bushwhacker" and "outlaw" the narration was one big cliche. Seeing the title it appeared to have promise, but after a about 30 minutes I could not continue to listen. Writers need to edit and avoid cliches about their subject matter. Too bad as I really enjoy a good western.
