this book is 11 hours. about 4 hours in I already knew who the killer was. either there needed to be more suspense or this book only needed to be about 6 hours instead of 11. the author struggled to make Ivy more mature being 12 years old in a 30 year old body. Book was ok. thankfully it was free.

dragged on

I bought all of the books in this “time travel” series…I HOPE they are not long and drawn out to where I keep checking - how long until This Dud is over?!?!

Here I go…on to the next dreaded book in the series.

Weak, WEAK “Heroine”!

it was good for a book I didn't have to use credit for. Not the best from plus but pretty good, I was surprised about a couple things.

fun but predictable

Good story, but virtual voice ruined it because inflections are all wrong on critical statements.

Virtual voice blows

It's good story about getting do-overs in your life. The narration is irritating. There may be a place for Virtual Voice in the future but it's not ready yet.

Good story - Annoying narration

Computer have inflections in all the wrong places and the characters were hard to tell apart

Worst narration

Can't dislike the main character enough. Something terrible happens one moment, and the next moment the main character is already making excuses to forgive the person. If you like hearing a codependent person's anxious thought processes as they stupidly navigate the world (while proclaiming MANY times that they're not stupid), go ahead and listen to this book. There is zero nuance, every plot point is spelled out and also repeated. Constantly. This book is AI garbage.

Repetitive and delusional

I wanted to love this story. Then, I wanted to like it. Then, I just wanted to get through it without a DNF. It was too long. The twist at the end felt rushed and unbelievable due to many factors, including the author’s own “clues”. I’ll probably still attempt the next book simply because I’m a glutton for this specific genre, but I don’t think I’ll force myself to DNF if it’s as drawn out as this one was. The audio is possibly what made it so bad, I’m not sure. I’m getting used to AI at this point, but that could have been a big factor.

Too long

Interesting use of multiple lives / multiverse / ground hog day / redo.
Columbo (old tv series) style misdirection does get repetitive.
The AI voice actor often misses the emotive queues and imparts flat or confusing tonnes.

The characters are all pretty shallow. I realize she's a 30 year old in the body of a 12 year old, but you'd not guess it by her behavior.

The only good thing I can say is that I finished it, only to see who the bad guy was.

Now for the AI. I can safely say I will not listen to another book read by an AI. It was awful and pretty much ruined the story. It placed emphasis on the wrong words, which is very distracting. I found myself wincing everytime a teenager said "ugh fine" with zero inflection.

The premise has potential, tho.

I'm sure your AI narrator is a lovely... voice, but
