About this listen

A Ripple in Time: It started as a routine Miami to Charlotte flight for the passengers, crew, and Federal Air Marshal Stephen Mason. But a freak storm over the Atlantic propels the airliner unexplainably back in time to the early 18th century.

Finding a way back, if that's even feasible, is the least of their worries. Can they survive and adapt?

The Planters: It's 1720, Charles Town, Carolina Colony, a time and place fraught with hardships and hazards. Carving out a life here will be challenging, especially for these modern-day transplants. The plan is simple: grow, harvest, sell, and make life as comfortable as possible.

New to a new world, can Mason, Karen, Jeremy, and Lisa navigate the hard realities they are only beginning to understand?

The Punishers: It's now 1723, Charlestown, South Carolina Colony. Mason and the three other remaining survivors have built their rice plantation into a thriving enterprise.

But when an opportunity arises to revisit an old adversary, Mason embarks on a simple fact-finding mission. The risks are minimal until an unforeseen turn puts Mason and his families' future in jeopardy. With so much at stake, can Mason adapt and achieve his ultimate goal?

The author blends history with a tale that you can almost believe is true. The saying that to be good science fiction it must first be good fiction. This is great fiction. I was reluctant to purchase these works due to not caring for previous time travel stories of other authors. Victor Zugg has made me a convert, especially of his works. These are the best books I have completed of the 400+ I have completed in the last 2 years.

Never cared for time travel novels before, boy was I wrong!

I love historical fiction, survival stories, and time travel and this hit the mark on each, My only complaint is the series ended and the author didn't explore more of the universe he created.

Exactly what I was looking for

Amazing

I liked the premise of this story. The interaction between the characters was interestingly done. I believe that the narrator could have given more distinctive voices. Sometimes it was difficult to follow who was talking. However, I do recommend this book.

Loved the story!

I enjoy reading/ listening to stores of time travel adventures and the author did not disappoint me. Zugg did a good job of creating likeable characters in whose lives I became emotionally invested. The story threads woven throughout the 3 books were well developed, and I enjoyed learning a little of the historical events of the timeperiod. I also appreciated the wrap-up in the Epilogue that left me feeling satisfied and not left with nagging little questions. I look forward to reading more of Zugg's books.

Captivating to the end

I am here now, they're still there. The lives never end forever. You are a part of the story as well.

I was there when they arrived

I wasn’t too sure I was going to like a trilogy so deeply set in the past, but this was fun. Hearing how modern-day people had to struggle not to expose themselves too much with language and future knowledge- the story was very very good. All the peripheral characters were well fleshed out and it really felt a few times like I was right there with them all. I gave this full stars in all categories because it really was that good. Well written, well spoke, and I KNEW something in the last minutes of the epilogue was going to happen- as subtle as it was, it was brilliantly said if you didn’t miss it. And that made me smile. All 3 stories blended into one great adventure and I am better for this experience.

Worth your time

Liked how the transport happened, liked the core characters and some who were incidental after the first book. Liked Mason’s preparations; thought out, but not over the top.

Good time travel series

Truly enjoyed this story. Makes me think about what I would do if thrown back in time. Love how it ties history together with the present. Excellent story.
